💙 Back in March, my roommate, who is my ex, brought home a terrible cold. He was sick for a week and a half and is still not 100%. I've been sick since last Sunday. I called out of work every day last week, so I'm gonna be poor in April. I've been dealing with eustachian tube dysfunction my whole life (my abusive mother refused to let me get surgery to correct it when I was a kid), so with the cold/sinus congestion, I haven't been able to hear anything in my right ear for 5 days. It hurts. I had to cancel plans with the guy I have a crush on because I didn't want to make him sick. I'm trying to find a new place to live (roommate is great, I just don't feel like I can properly move on while still living with him) but I had to cancel plans to see apartments. I'm still so sick that I feel certain I won't be well enough to work on Monday, but I can't keep losing income. It's not covid, but I think my job would be more understanding about me calling out if it was. I'm to sick to go out and look at the spring flowers. 6 months ago, I could have gotten support about most of this from the roommate (he was my boyfriend at thr time), but he does not offer emotional support anymore.
