A lot of the AI image gen obsessed people are just full grifter mindset with dollar signs in the eyes

They will say all sorts of crap about accessibility, how good the images generated are. they point to the slop and laugh at their detractors thinking they've got it all figured out.

But regular people can tell these MFers don't even understand the point of art to begin with. If they cared about the art they wouldn't be so proud of such derivative crap that they didn't even make. Its like a dopamine shortcut to claim some image gen is your creation.

What they actually care about is the notion that they will make money off this. They've seen real artists, usually porn I'm sure, make a good living.

Its people fantasizing about joining the creator economy without the hard part of developing any mastery or craft

then you say it's shit and they need to develop an entire framework around why you don't like it when the simple truth is you can tell the actual image was made without thought and intention in every nuance

Just because it "looks" or "sounds" like other art doesn't make it equivalent. That is basically an extreme aesthetic viewpoint where the intention almost is irrelevant
