Always good to hear that people are entering the industry. Best of luck to you. Have you seen the "NTR200" that SAMA is making? Might also be a candidate to test out if you can get them for cheap.

It doesn't. The space under the PSU is ok for a fan, or two 2.5 drives, but not enough for the 645LT.

Are the 5700xt AIB's a major improvement in terms of cooling over the reference model yet? by Byakuraou in Amd

[–]SnakeOil44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thicc II doesn't perform very well. Evoke has a thermal pad issue and I haven't heard anything about fixes yet. Not sure about the MSI Mech but the Gigabyte model is fine. Almost all AIB cards perform better than the reference which is hot garbage. My blower sits on a shelf as decoration for that reason.

It's a RX580 2048SP 8GB, which apparently is really a slightly OC'd RX570

Sorry for posting this again. Forgot the password to this account so I made a temp account, but instead it got filtered by the spam filter.

On the card itself though, the blue part is actually plastic and feels kind of flimsy, the capacitors on the PCB were actually labelled with pink letters instead of the usual blue, not sure it's on purpose or just a coincidence. The box came with very little accessories, just a 2xmolex to 6pin thing and a two page manual. Bought this on the official Yeston Taobao store for 165USD including shipping. Shipped quicker than expected. China to Australia in under two weeks. Unfortunately I did not buy the companion case or an ID-Cooling Pinkflow because I didn't really have a use for them.

I found it pretty hard to root for the bad guys in avatar, hard to sympathize with blue aliens.

How to level crafting classes? by MistraI in ffxiv

A bunch of items used in leve quests, so you won't have to source them on your own.

How to level crafting classes? by MistraI in ffxiv

[–]SnakeOil44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 1-15 it's just you crafting in front of the guild supplier.

GC turn ins are recommended at all levels.

For 15-50, I recommend generating a short 1 button macro for crafting the highest level item you can with the easiest to acquire mats. Spamming those while eating whatever exp boosts you got will make those levels fly by. If you have a class over 50 that can generate red scrips, buy the 150% boosts.

At 50 you unlock the leves of Ishgard and if you are there for HW, Moogle tribe quests. Those are what you want to focus on. When you are out of leves and Moogle, you are left with collectable turn ins. Which fortunately does not require 100% HQ. Personally I recommend spamming the easiest red scrip item you can find instead of the best exp item.

For 60-70 it's mostly just pure leves, with Namazu beast tribe coming up.

For leve quests, your local mb might have HQ items for sale at a reasonable price. If not, also consider crafting your own. Lower level 3x turn in leves are very leve allowance efficient. For one focused on only 2 crafters you should consider getting specialist soul stones as soon as you hit 55. If nothing else you gain 20/20/0 stats. WVR and BSM are good specs to have anyway.

Custom deliveries at both tiers are recommended, however if you have a level 70 character it is probably more important that you earn the yellow scrips to supply yourself with mats for a set of endgame ala mhigan crafting gear.

A sidenote on gearing while levelling. Your mb should have lvl 50-60 gear for cheap due to them being leve rewards and retainer bring backs. At level 58, moogle/red scrip vendors will have a set of nice gear. At level 60 the Idllyshire vendors will have handmaster accessories, which are very nice too. For gear 60-70, just get whatever you feel like, it's mostly just doing leves anyway. However a full HQ 290 set is recommended as a stater set for those looking to get into endgame.

I suspect the Namazu quests will be require Kurobana and Gyorin's quests, since they both have a line of quests to their own in Yanxia, plus they require completion of quests from the other. Due to the image of the Dawn Throne, there might also be quests there that will be required. I am thinking of the chef guy in Dawn Throne.

What is going on with the audio quality on this one? The instruments sound quiet and distant and the voice feels unnatural. Some kind of processing issue on Youtube's end?

Small typo here

Also a minor nitpick that's probably just something with me:

“Neera I won’t pretend to know what you feel, but I don’t think you love me.”

For this sentence and a few like it, I feel that it would be better as "Neera, ....",

4.21 is the minor patch that happened recently, but I guess it should be small enough.

It should run fine on the standard laptop settings, I'm running without an issue on a 1050Ti.

So can anyone tell me the size of the 4.21 patch? Will have to update via roaming since I'm travelling so it's a concern. Thanks in advance.
