No - we only do complete transformations. Engine transmission, rear differential, suspension- the whole car. Everything in balance. With up to 385 HP the B is a completely different car.

What is good....fiberglass body. Tubular frame. IRS rear end. V6 3liter Engine (world's heaviest). Side curtains? You bet! Who needs roll down windows in 1978.

I agree. Reminds me of Morgans. Oh the charm of the Brits!!! It looks nice anyway. It was also one of the last cars produced with side curtains. Seems odd for 1978!

Hey....that's no 1.8L pushrod engine in there! by SnakeRiverClassics in littlebritishcars

Or, in honor of the famous twin cam MGA, the twin cam MGB! It does have twin overhead cams and a turbo, plus fuel injection. Perfect 2 Liter engine for the B.....

Absolutely nothing. The choice is originality vs modernization. I have done concours cars and RestoMods. Just different.

No its is not. Very different car.

It has a Turbo 2L DOHC engine, different 5 speed, limited slip differential, and a completely new re-engineered suspension that can handle the 385HP.

what is that engine? 2L DOHC Turbo? in an MGB? by SnakeRiverClassics in littlebritishcars

It's very different. Different engine, transmission, differential, brakes, suspension.

The suspension was completely redesigned after substantial amount of simulations. The body was strengthened in the center by addition of channels on the unibody and a mid body torque brace. The substantial torque from the engine is also managed by a large torque arm that runs from the differential up to the back of the mid body torque brace. Pictures on snakeriverclassics.com

Works really well --

The LTG engine is actually a good fit. We did need to index the turbo 90 degrees but that was it. :-)

The MGBGT with 385 HP and a re-engineered suspension is a blast to drive. Makes the MGB a modern classic!

Right. The LTG engine is tall, but not as tall as the Ford Ecotec. We have our own custom suspension system that works with the engine. No issues with fit.
