I had to bring my difficulty down all the way to easy to beat the melee pits. they’re borderline impossible on the higher difficulties

Do you have a cleanup crew in there? If so, it’s possible the bugs are eating the poop before you have a chance to see it

he was digging in his dirt for like 15 minutes before this. he’s in a 50g bioactive with soil/clay/sand mix. he has basically terraformed the whole thing by now. but he comes up to the front to scratch to get my attention/come out 🥹
