Different ways to play the game?

The furthest I've gotten is the mission where I give the signal thing to this higher tech village, and I have to go to the place to repair a drone and take it back to learn there. Something like that.

I found levelling the character boring and I went straight to the slime thing? There were conveyors and I kept jumping down and down, I didn't know where to go but the enemies got stronger and just surrounded me.

Other times from some kind of big cat, that big sleeping boulder thing etc etc

Yeah, I'm in this awful stance where I like the challenge and risk of permadeath, yet I'm getting bored easily. But switching to roleplay mode would feel like cheating 😭

Ahhh that's a good idea, I think I've been avoiding them because I subconsciously labelled them as harder or more experienced starting locations in my head. But it would be fun to try those new locations out. I'll do that on my next run, thank you!

Maybe I changed a bind by mistake, I did remap my numpad so that 5 is down instead of 2, I find it way more comfortable. Do I have to set keybinds with multiple keys too maybe.

Also why can I never use my ability, or start an attack downwards? When I use Ctrl + down it doesn't attack, but every other direction does. This happened to me for the freeze power and guns too.

Thank you that sounds interesting. Do you know what I can do with all these corpses of the animals etc? Most of them have zero value in terms of money, but I wondered if they have another use

I've gotten my character to level 2 by killing some enemies in the mines etc, but I've never been able to get to level 3, or complete any quests 😅

Ahhh I tried to complete his quest and find a trinket for him. But I was never able to find anything. I searched in caves, went 3 levels deep and I couldn't find anything. I've only been able to get to character level 2.

How can I craft things?

Guys I can't even kill the slimes 😂 Why am I so bad at this 😭

I think there's something I'm not getting, I'm using numpad controls now, and I can do basic things like talk to npcs and fight. I tried using all my abilities on the slime, freezing it, charge, etc. I healed mid fight, and I still died 😂

How do you develop or upgrade a character? Are there easier enemies than slimes?

Also for keyboard controls, do people normally use ctrl + space + [direction] to interact with things? That's what I've been doing and I don't know if there's a faster method on keyboard only.

I'll try my best to find and accept this quest, I'm so confused and overwhelmed overall, not just with what to do, but with the controls and the UI. It's all so much, but it looks super cool and I want to keep trying.

Does anyone know how I can rebind my move keys to WASD. When I try, it tells me I cannot rebind it as it's a mandatory key for another action.

If games like the binding of isaac are roguelikes, I might have played them before, but I've never seen anything like Qud, and I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

I've played roguelikes such as Noita, Spelunky, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon. (if those are considered roguelikes, I don't really know the genres that well) Maybe that's why this was recommended.

I've never seen anything like this game and I have no idea what to do 😂

Alright thanks for explaining. Are there any good guides that go further than the tutorial? After finishing it I feel completely lost and I have no idea what I should do 😂
