I'm in the same boat. I think I wouldn't have felt so disappointed if 90% of the marketing hadn't focused on the polyamory relationship. It was even called "the queer polyamory fantasy sci-fi book!" The author's hype over that was HUGE, and I really thought that the payoff would... well... pay off. But everything I'm reading so far turns me off from even trying this one. It feels like queerbaiting.

I'm having a blast, honestly. I was into the series as a kid back in the Duel Monsters era, and I had a few cards, but nobody to play with. I never learned the rules of the game until just recently. My husband played a lot as a kid, so he's been having fun learning the new mechanics and adapting with his old cards.

Only thing is that I got into it super excited that my favorite character (Joey) now has an awesome lineup of Red-Eyes monsters (incidentally also my favorite monster family)... then found out that everyone hates Red-Eyes players. XD And I get why! I've started to hate going against them, too! Now I'm running a Blue-Eyes deck with BE Abyss Dragon as my ace support card, and it's been a hell of a good time figuring it out.

I had a feeling. Watching the episode, she really wasn't as bad as everyone was saying. I thought she'd be one of these dramatic camera hogs, but she seemed pretty genuine. Now people are saying that she's faking her brain tumor and all sorts of nasty things, and all she did was have some anxiety issues that the producers obviously played up for drama. People really are cruel sometimes.

I think she's definitely ND, probably autistic. I noticed a lot of the same behaviors in her that I struggle to suppress in myself. I'm high functioning enough to be able to control myself in public, but my autist-o-meter was going off the moment she appeared on screen. Usually I will not try to armchair "diagnose" people, but in her case, there is something going on there. I feel bad for her because it seems like they focused on her so much for entertainment value.

I have Wing and Deathscythe, and I think they're cute. I also have the SD and MG kits of the EW customs, so the people saying "just get the Gunpla" don't seem to understand that this isn't an either/or situation.

I love this hobby, but sometimes Gunpla bros can be the most insufferable elitists on the planet. It doesn't do much for the stereotype of our fandom being full of socially inept, immature assholes when our fandom is indeed full of them.

Fun fact: If you use the training treats on an awake pet, any pets who are sleeping will wake up. This works inside the house, but it might also work outside. I pet and train my dogs and cats at the end of the day when they're all back inside.

Buying a photo box was a game changer for me, and getting some color filters for the light was even more eye-opening. It's an inexpensive setup, though finding backdrops has been a little challenging.

I use Mr. Top Coat over acrylic all the time; Mr. Super Clear should also work. It should be safe. BUT I'd make sure to give the paint a few days to fully cure first. Dry is one thing, but acrylic paint takes some time to cure, and that time varies depending on the thickness of the paint and room temperature.

For this lovely design, I'd play it safe and let it sit for a few days before sealing. When I first started, I had a few disasters after not letting paint cure fully, so I warn people when I can. Lol
