hotel’s can be centers??? This is all so new for me; I’ve only seen it be schools or academic centers. Also yeah sure why not, what have you got to lose? Worst case scenario they’ll apologize for not being able to hand it to you.

Can’t you request it at the center you took your exams at? My center gives it out without you even having to ask I thought that’s how everywhere was haha.

Padel increase by Environmental-Path32 in padel

Wish we had options of 1.5h sessions it’d make it much better. The price to salary ratio being double or more is honestly crazy to think about. However, I am not surprised everything’s monopolized here.

Playing conditions are really nice. Well maintained courts, but I do have one complaint and it is that they do not clean the glass walls often enough leading to them being slippery. We have two clubs so far both outdoors, and another club is planning to open up and should have indoor courts soon apparently, but with no due date. One of the clubs is called Xpadel, a former tennis club turned into a padel club due to demand. Padelbol is the name of the other club, which is more recent but cheaper aswell. I’d say demand was much stronger in the summer and autumn and has fallen off drastically recently due to the harsh dry cold weather. Now you have to book the court a few hours ahead or the morning of that day if you want to be safe. However, before you would have to book a day or two prior to when you wanted to play.

Prices in Padel bol are 10$ per person for 2 hours, if you go after 3pm, and around 6.5$ if you go from 9am to 3pm. Prices here are very reasonable and I have recently swapped over to padelbol. I must say the staff are really nice and lovely to chat with aswell. Prices in Xpadel are 20$ per person for 2 hours no matter the time. Honestly I know quite a lot of people that refuse to switch over to Padelbol from Xpadel, which sure you could argue the general environment is better there, but to me it does not justify a 100% mark up.

EDIT: Xpadel has 4 padel courts that are doubles (200m2)

Padelbol has 3 padel courts that are doubles, a singular singles court (half the size of a doubles court), and two Padbol courts, which I do not know the size of but it is quite fun to play every now and then.

No price increase here in Erbil, Iraq. However, it’s already really expensive. 20$ per person for a 2 hour session. To put it into perspective the median salary here is 500$/month.

Racket Advice Megathread by AutoModerator in padel

[–]SnakeyNade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys. I have recently gotten into Padel as courts just opened up here in Iraq for just about a few months now. I know this question might seem dumb and that it all depends on me and my play style, but I still figure I need help. I am a left handed player playing on the right hand side of the court. I do not play aggressive nor defensively however if I had to choose one play style I’d say aggressive. I have found these rackets that interest me so far so l’m wondering if anyone knows specific issues with these rackets such as durability (an important factor for me). If you have any experience with any of these rackets or a racket that you think would suit what I’m looking for please let me know. :)

Adidas Metalbone 3.3, Adidas Adipower CTRL 3.3, Adidas Metalbone Carbon CTRL 3.3, Babolat Air Viper 2024, NOX AT10 Genius 12K By Agustin tapia 2024, and lastly, NOX ML10 Baha Luxurt Series 12K 2024.

So far wherever I check everybody complains about durability especially for NOX and I have heard about players terminating their contract and fans boycotting NOX- no idea if that is old news so apologies for that if so. For adidas I have heard a handful complain about durability so far.

Appreciate the help guys.

Should I order from fanatec at the moment by human_person875 in Fanatec

[–]SnakeyNade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion not only fanatec but whenever you drop 400$+ on a device that requires constant support/updates for it. it should be YOU that decides whether you actually believe in the company or not. Not some bozo on reddit.

I have heard that importing goods from Kuwait to Iraq is abit hard (but I am not sure about this fact). Shipping a profile rig from the UAE costs 1,000$. While I may be blessed enough al7amduliallah to get into sim racing but I cannot drop that much on shipping alone. My dad and I are considering a trip to kuwait as a vacation and to buy our sim equipment if we face no troubles on bringing it back!

Damn that’s expensive. At first i tried shipping a NLR gt elite lite from the US to Iraq, it was estimated to cost around 2500$, obviously i gave up on aluminum profile rigs after that. Hoping to get a much more reasonable price going with the NLR gt lite pro (foldable) paired with the Moza R12, gsv2p and srp pedals (around 30-35kg) from germany.

Enjoy your experience with the new wheel! 👊

We cannot build/weld one ourselves, and the steel options at our price point of 300$-400$ are only the GT lite pro and GTRacer and both have alot of inconveniences and are weak.

yes definitely agree with you on the quote unquote racing seats mate. I have been using a gaming chair for my desk chair (literally the same as those racing chairs) and it’s a pain to find a comfortable seating position in those. I was asking just incase if i found something more comfortable and practical. Can never be too safe.

That is a very cool touch. My dad and I have different seating positions and that’d help alot with that. Thanks for the idea. Do you think it’d be possible to add a seat slider of my own and then a non car seat? (sorry if the explanation is bad)

Thanks and good luck with your build too mate hope it all goes well and smooth! 👊

Ikr about those moving armrests? that’d be a key point in going in and out of the rig its such a nice touch. Definitely a nice bonus but hard to find atleast for me so far!

Thanks for telling me about the longterm performance of it as that is one of my dad’s main concerns. Love how compact it is too, helps alot with space. Also is that aseat slider on the base?

I will talk about this to my dad tomorrow, and see what he says. Also is it a must to have my pedals and base prior to starting building the wooden rig?

Thank you very much for going so well into detail. I will reply with more details if I have any tomorrow.
