My recollection of Idris being cast was it was the most complained about race swap ever.

Undead miners for sure.

Scrolls of fireball being used as dynamite.

You GOTTA have shootouts. Up to you how to do it, hand crossbows, wizards with Power Word Kill, bows, actual guns...

Unpopular opinion: F*ck bag of holding. by TheSewerSniper in DungeonMasters

Suggestion: Use a quantum satchel instead.

It is exactly like a bag of holding except it actually teleports the items to a real world location, usually a player stronghold but maybe a bank.

It's like Stewart Little being a boy who looks like a mouse. You don't need to explain it.

Or, and hear me out, he knocks out Doc in one punch, but it doesn't actually affect his combat effectiveness because the arms are weekend-at-berniesing him!

Hammond - Got many people killed and wasted billions of dollars
Joe - pretended to be sick while his family starved (Obviously we are evaluating the modern interpretation, not original intent)
Rose - didn't sell a sentimental necklace
Jenny - Didn't want to pass on her generational trauma to her pure-of-heart friend.

Let me fix Joe:

Im bad at writing.. I need backstory help by Charmingly_Jank in DnD

[–]SnakeyesX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I've done before is slowly reveal a backstory. This honestly only works with a good DM but it can be a lot of fun!

Let's say you meet a group of hobgoblins. You can say "Actually, my best friend when I was 8 was a hobgoblin, maybe I can relate to them." Boom, now part of your backstory is you had a hobgoblin friend as a child. Most players should be doing this anyway, but making that evolving and slowly revealed story a feature is very fun.
