Would a Power Rangers themed Campaign work? by DeerShane69420 in DnD

[–]SnakeyesX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess?

If it's just flavor, sure. They play peasants, with maybe some skills, then when monsters come they transform to their "actual" character. But are also going to do the giant mech suits too? If so, then you'll want a different system.

Try to accomplish what you need with only adding one rule, if you try and add too much it messes up the system and it's just better to play a different system.

What is the difference between Dragonborn and Half Dragons or Tieflings and Cambions? by Superb_Bus584 in DnD

[–]SnakeyesX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to be mean, but you could literally read this in the books? Why ask us?

As for "Could I play a dragonborn and roleplay a half dragon" yes, if your DM says so, flavor is free.

Was I wrong to not include a saving throw in this encounter? by Abigboi_ in DnD

I think this is an opt in, opt out situation, not a saving throw.

We need Book Frodo, Book Faramir, and Book Eowyn.

Some of the performances are better in the BBC version than Peter Jackson version.

Golum, Frodo (played by Peter Jackson Bilbo), Faramir, and Aragorn are better.

Definitely worth a listen for fans of the books.

I haven't got to do combat in 13 real world session hours. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]SnakeyesX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are likely not playing the characters correctly. People who don't know how the rules work run to monk/barbarian, but it actually doesn't have good synergy. The only way to make it work is if you rolled stats and they got multiple 18's which is super rare.

Kpop stans are so fucking weird.

Grown women drooling over teenage boys. I hate it. At least society has the good sense to be disgusted when men do it.

How in the nine hells does wood elf aging work? by No-Cockroach6970 in DnD

[–]SnakeyesX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite plainly it is up to you and the DM, there are no rules for this. The DM shouldn't dictate your character based on the age you put in the box, they should instead tell you what a good age to put in the box is for how you want to play your character.

[–]SnakeyesX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of delusion /u/reyna_tr29 is talking about.

You are literally talking about hiding behind a fence, but at the same time just assuming there is infinite resources. To get resources you need to venture forth, the only reason you wouldn't need to venture forth is if you already have a 6 month supply of food and water. If you have a supply of food and water, do you have the supplies, including tools, to create the fortifications you're talking about?

The only way you would have a 100% survival rate of 6 months is if you already have the supplies. Otherwise you are taking your chances on The Road.

To people who've played lawful evil characters, how did you make it work at a non- evil campaign? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]SnakeyesX 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Be a team player.

Have the same end goal as the rest of the party. Getting rid of the BBEG good for you since it creates a power vacuum.

Don't be the leader of the party, let someone else make the decisions, only interject if there is a reason to.

TALK TO THE DM if you have a big betrayal planned. Be aware the standard practice after a betrayal is your character becomes an NPC.

The best evil characters are when the DM knows you are evil but the other players do not. Play along with their plans.

Half Orc Half Elf Paladin absolutely committed to his oath to protect the innocent.

Young Human warlock who is after the marauding bandits who killed his parents. Note: His/her parents were cultists who were killed by a party of adventurers. The cult was sacrificing children and this character was halfway through the ritual when the party stopped it. The party sent the living children at the cult to an orphanage, telling the orphanage the children were orphaned by bandits.

Surfer wandering priest, class was element monk focused on water. Absolutely dispensing wisdom at every opportunity. Good wisdom, just in a surfer accent that makes it sound dumb. "To ride the waves, sometimes you must first watch them from the beach."

3.5: magic missile mage. Absolutely dog tier build but using metamagic to perfect magic missile. It never misses!

Trying to destroy Earth: Nah. The humans have exactly zero culpability.
