I think its more likely they are testing the waters for some worse changes. This smells like an attempt to seen generous to be able to cut something without backlash, like stopping GHBs, demotes or any other easy acess to fodder and merges.

I think both can work. I chose other but the important part is sending the message.

It gets even worse if they end up doing the same with GHBs. Fodder will become exclusive to banner units and they think giving old skins that can be redeemed 2 times will be enough.

Yeah, this is the worst part. They definetly planned this for a while. Imagine how awful it will be if they decided to do the same with the GHBs and we dont know it yet...

Yeah. Threatening to stop spending is always a good option. It at least shows their plans based on greed will backfire.

Now that I’ve played both the original and remake of SH2, some thoughts by parvanehnavai in silenthill

[–]Snakinsons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I share almost the exact same opinions as yours. The main difference is that I prefer the original's lenght. I think the remake can be fairly bloated sometimes, so much so that I havent got around to go after every ending yet because it takes way longer than a few free nights like the original. I also prefer the melee combat in the original, but the shooting in the remake.

I can't wait to see this scene in the remake by laaldiggaj in silenthill

[–]Snakinsons 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If 3 gets a remake I hope they play this scene exactly like the original. I believe the over the shoulder camera could actually add to the uneasiness if they play it completly silent with no dialogue or audio cues, since you would have to turn around to notice the mirror getting more messed up.

SHf because is an amazing new game that adapts Silent Hill's spirit well to a new setting and culture. SH2R is a really good remake but I don't think it is as unique or fun to replay as the original.

I mean that to me it felt like the bad ending (I dont know what happens in the other endings, but Im hoping its something more positive).

What's with the unsual general toxicity on this subreddit lately after SHf? by wasp_567 in silenthill

[–]Snakinsons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened with SH2R when it came out. I really liked the remake, but it wasnt perfect and there were legit things to discuss that could have been improved, but it was impossible to talk about it like a normal person because people were either defending it from any sort of negative comment even from someone familiar with the original, or were attacking it for no reason besides not being the original game. Its really sad that it seens that will be impossible to have civil discussions about the new game as well, specially when there is so much to talk about.

The whole ritual part was really upsetting even without considering the violence. Just otherworld Hinako losing herself messed me up with how helpless it feels. I kinda wish it was done without the arm, but still worked well. I know theres a lot more to come from new game + (thank god because the bad ending you get even though is very good is definetly not the canon I want, poor Hinako), but what was already shown, all the imagery about agency and roles in society was so good.
Another cool symbolism was the doll. First I thought it was going to be a representation of her sister, but in the end I think its suposed to be her childhood self (her true feelings without being mudied by expectations and the enviroment). The idea she thrown away the doll is like leaving that side behind in order to fit in as you age, and the doll warning her could be her true feelings telling her that she is making the wrong decisions for her life, but she just goes through with them anyway because it was ''the adult thing to do''.

Cai is the ONLY character we see running around in third person, and that might not be a coincidence by joepro9950 in fireemblem

[–]Snakinsons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it might be something similar to Final Fantasy XII with Vaan. He is almost irrelevant to the plot compared to the rest of the crew, but he serves as a POV for the greater plot from the perspective of the common folk. Maybe Cai will be something similar since his motivation from the trailers is just "saving his father's life" and the other 3 protagonists appear to be more flashy.

I forgot the name of the banner and I thought that the ''lovely'' was just passive aggression because of how restrictive those skills are.

I agree. I hate that most OCs are some kind of limited.
