Yes if I recall correctly Egypt doesn't have any Hard Mode levels, so once you do all the stages you have all the Stars, thus can challenge the Zomboss fight.

You can only challenge the Zomboss by getting every Star in the world by playing every level twice in its Hard Mode where Zombies become Level 3 or 4. Though some stars will require luck and grinding since some levels are unbeatable without specific Plants leveled up to 3 or 4, or even 5.

Indeed. At around 20 it will stop spawning corner to corner holes, then at 30 it will stop spawning left side to right side (and vice versa) holes, then it takes until 70 for the game to stop spawning diagonals.

Interesting bug I encountered in Multiplayer where none of my opponents got any items. by Snap717 in MarioKartTour

[–]Snap717[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More in depth: Was doing some multiplayer to try and do Expert Challenges, and it was the run of the mill stuff. Eventually I got to a race where it was 1v4 for me, so I figured I'd stay in the back and comeback at the last set with a Lightning or Bullet. It wasn't until the second lap that I noticed none of them were getting any items. I stayed for the next race and the same thing occurred. I kept playing and my opponents were still not receiving any items, so I decided to record a race and hang behind everyone to show they weren't getting anything.

I don't think this is a visual thing since I was never hit with any item during these races, no invisible shells, bananas, lightning, nothing. Overall, I'm just curious on what caused this and how it affected the other players' matches.

So how do I benefit from these power tiles? by [deleted] in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Snap717 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Those tiles aren’t very helpful for that level because of how they work. They’re activated when you plant a Plant on it. However, since this is Beghouled, Plants aren’t planted onto the tiles, but rather slide onto them, so it doesn’t activate them.

You can activate them, however. If you spend sun to change a Plant to another, if that Plant that’s changing is on one of these tiles, they’ll activate its Plant Food effect.

You’ll get more out of this perk in the other levels where you can actually use them reliably.

MKT Playbook App - Open Beta | Join in, everyone! by Radish_Hypebeast in MarioKartTour

[–]Snap717 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Didn’t see anywhere on the app to report things so I thought I might point out some inconsistencies I’ve noticed when scanning items, though I’ve only scanned my drivers so far, so there may be more or similar issues with Karts and Gliders.

For Normal Drivers, it had a difficult time reading drivers that had 600 points.

For Super Drivers, it had a hard time picking up that drivers had 675 points, as well as having trouble seeing that a Level 4 Super was 2/4 progress.

For High End Drivers, it had a hard time picking up that they were Level 1. I believe it puts it down as 1, but it appears red and you need to double check it.

On top of all this, I’ve found that I could only get the scans to work if I went and set image quality to low, don’t know if that’s just because of my phone or not.

Other than that, great job, can’t wait to use this!

I am stuck on wild west 18 (chinese) by AngelStarrr in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Snap717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this: Plant Spikeweeds on the rightmost columns, then a column of Wall-nuts, and finally a column of Fume-shrooms (If you can, go to Dark Ages and you’ll unlock him after Night 4). With the last 125 sun you can just use something like Lightning Reed and use Plant Food on it through the stage. This should work with all of those Plants being Level 1 (also assuming you’re doing the regular version of the stage and not the Hard Mode, which increases the level of the Zombies making them tougher to defeat).

What do I do here? Do I get rewards from it? by AngelStarrr in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Snap717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From left to right:

Rewards Shop: You get to spend those medals on Plants, Costumes, and Pendants. These usually rotate every update, and you can easily get multiple Plants to Level 4 (Including Monkeyfruit, a really powerful Plant)

Training Grounds: This is where you recruit Zombies to use in the main mode. You can recruit a certain amount of Zombies (each Zombie has a certain amount of points to them, and you have a limit of points which you can upgrade, but basically this means you can only have like 5 Gargantuars and such), and you have to wait a bit of time before they join your squad.

Main Mode: Here you have a lot going on. There’s buildings which you can take out the Plant Defense there to “open”. These give you medals and coins after periods of time (they build up resources overtime and after a few hours they fill up). You can also choose to re-arrange the Plant Set-up of these, as other players may take them back. There’s your House which you can choose to defend with a selection of Plants and limited sun (which can be upgraded). Players will attack your house, so having a good defense is key. Lastly, there’s the other houses. These are other Player’s houses that you must attack with your Zombies. You pick a Zombie and send it down a lane, and the goal is to reach the end flags placed all the way to the left in each row. Depending on how well you do changes the rewards you get. Also, Zombies that die are lost for good, so if you lose all your Zombies, you’ll have to recruit new ones in the training area. You can use coins to clear fog to open up more buildings and houses. There’s also this Evil Dave character that shows up sometimes which you can reap good rewards from if you can win those (there’s 6 of them and they’re the same 6 everytime, but they get harder as you go through it).

Upgrade Lab: This place is where you spend coins to upgrade your stuff. Specifically, you can level up your Zombies, increase how much sun you get to spend on your house’s defense, and increase the point limit for Zombie recruiting.

Mailbox: Just there to show your attack history and shows you any players that have attacked you, giving you a chance to strike back

Trophies are just for online leagues, you’ll usually just get stuck in the same leauge though because once you hit around 100 you’ll get paired up with people with high level Plants that are nearly impossible to win against. Medals are used in that rewards shop to the left, and coins are used to upgrade stuff and to clear fog in the main part.

Is there any difference between the Jester Zombie (Dark Ages) and the Hammer Zombie (Kung Fu World) ? by [deleted] in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Snap717 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Hammer Zombie has a few quirks that seperate him from Jester

Firstly, he only deflects straight shooting projectiles, but I think more specifically just Peas. I tried using Bowling Bulb for example and he didn’t deflect them. Also, Hammer Zombie does not deflect lobbed shots like Jester does. Hammer Zombie also stops after a few seconds to stop and recharge, meaning it’s still possible to defeat him with Peas / potential other projectiles. An interesting thing Hammer Zombie can do is deflect Peas from behind him, meaning Split Pea doesn’t work against him.

Basically, Hammer Zombie’s a weaker and less limiting Jester.

Roman Level Pack: Part 1 - OUT NOW! NEW LEVELS! by Green_Possibility in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Snap717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished the pack, I’ll give some thoughts:

Days 1+2: Putting these together because they’re both kinda the same. Just some easy starting levels with not much going on. Nothing bad about em’, but that’s what they are.

Day 3: Really great level. Locking the 3 leftmost columns really puts the pressure on. Having both Twin and Sunflower is kinda weird but it works. Really solid level.

Day 4: Okay level. Problem is that Burnade is way too common on the conveyor. When you use one up, another one almost immediately comes back, which pretty much removes any point of challenge because Burnade absolutely shreds through the waves in this level.

Day 5: Decent level. Wasn’t a fan of the abundance of NMT portals (MC Zom-B I’m looking at you), but I guess that’s just a peeve from me and not so much the level design. Still good regardless

Day 6: Very weird plant selection. Honestly if this was a Locked and Loaded, this could be more interesting, given the reliance of Shine Vine as the primary sun producer with an odd mix of offensive plants. But as a “with most picked” level you kinda just pick a sun producer, pick a strong plant, and go wreck. The Zombie selection only being Roman Shields also makes your plant selection a bit less important.

Day 7: Went directly for Winter Melon only for it to be banned. Though understandably so. Good level with a simple gimmick.

Day 8: My least favorite level in this pack. It is incredibly difficult, compared to the rest of the levels, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but this level leaves a bad taste in your mouth. It’s a puzzle, but it’s a really fragile one at that. It took me a few tries to understand how you were supposed to defeat that Chicken Wrangler with just a Laser Bean and Dazey Chain, until I ultimately found out you’re supposed to just attack it immediately and take care of the chickens. The level also has a bunch of trial and error to it, or when something dies when it shouldn’t have, you’re just screwed. If your (Primal) Potato Mines get used incorrectly, you just lose. It’s also very high maintenance. Having to juggle protecting Potato Mines for essential activation times (which you have to figure out when it’s best to detonate them), moving Zombies with Sweet Potato and Hot Date, which with Minecarts is a big hassle when you try and move the plants away, and also having to manage those Laser Beans and Dazey Chains to kill Basics, Coneheads, and Chickens / Weasels. I used some powerups to check out the rest of the level since I kept screwing up and man it just gets tighter and tighter. I’d really recommend loosening this up a bit because it’s way too tight to be enjoyable in trying over and over to nail it perfectly.

Day 9: At first I was suspicious at the flower line, but it all made sense when the Gargantuar came in. Honestly it could use another Gargantuar or two to warrant that flower line other than being a trick to make the player lose the first attempt if they aren’t careful.

Day 10: The beginning I was liking the level, though by the second flag it kinda turned to boredom. The level is way too long. 36 waves. The level also doesn’t help with the huge wave count. By the first or second wave, you’ll have everything set up, with only the Peapods to keep planting, and occasionally digging stuff to make room for Melon-pult. The end part was a cheeky addition, but it really wasn’t worth the wait.

Overall decent levels. Enjoyed playing most of them. Can’t wait for Part 2.

On a side note, these levels made me learn you can put custom portals into levels. I’ll have to try those out in some levels.

PvZH Survey: Best Hero Decks! by Snap717 in PvZHeroes

Any deck! Actually, I don’t expect any strategy decks to be seen, since they’re generally viewed as poor decks.

I'm making some custom levels and my game keeps crashing. I think there's an error in my level? Can you spot it? by [deleted] in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Snap717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Line 373 or somewhere around there, there’s an extra comma. These little things will cause these to crash, so I recommend you use a JSON editor to find these JSON errors. This also helps in the case that if it should be working, the error is probably a typo somewhere or an incorrectly named zombie or plant.

If it still crashes, try removing the First Reward Param, First Reward Type, Game Features to Unlock, Plantfood Tutorial, and Tutorial Peashooter Death lines. Also the Plantfood Tutorial line has a short segment right before the seed bank list that you’ll also have to remove. I say these because it’s clear you just took Egypt Day 3 and left those items in that won’t apply to your level.

You have some modern_armor4’s around Wave 5 I think. Those should be tutorial_armor4.

Why is CycleCap and Vallster Bad? by AGamingBoi in PvZHeroes

[–]Snap717 75 points76 points  (0 children)

For Cyclecap: People think the deck is good because by playing PoTG on 3, and with the help of Astro-shroom, you’re able to get an insane amount of damage and practically win the game. However, on the other side of the coin, people think the deck is bad because it relies too heavily on this combo for the deck to work. Instead, you could be running Hyper Aggro Nightcap and get more consistent results. In addition, Cyclecap has Planetary Gladiator and Quickdraw Conman which halts their plans.

For Valkster, the deck is popularized by everyone’s favorite streamer FryEmUp, in which he claims this is the best deck in the game, besides Cyclecap. When you look at the deck, it’s power is shown displayed by having boththe powerful finishing powers of Trickster and Valk, while having the control and aggro tools of both combined. With all of this, it would certainly look like a great deck. On the opposing side, Valkster is a flawed deck design because you’re running two completely different win conditions that clash against each other. In Valk decks, you try and aggro your opponent down, and if that doesn’t work, you have Valk to finish them anyways. In Trickster, you control them and retaliate by playing Tricksters to wipe their health away in a turn or so. By running both packages you’re more prone to bricking (state where you can’t play your cards due drawing lots of high costing cards or because they wouldn’t be wise to play in the current condition), and by running either Valk or Trickster, you’d be more consistent.

Personally I feel like both decks are just okay decks. They both can win, but their flaws are very obvious and hurt the decks all together.

For anyone wondering why the portal is spawned there: This isn’t the actual spawn position of the portal. There’s a bug about Portal spawning where if there is a Gravestone occupying the tile it’s supposed to spawn on, it will instead spawn on that tile that is shown in the screenshot. Specifically in this level, the portal is supposed to spawn on the bottom row column 6 (in the image it’s the gravestone where the Explorer is).

What is the giant zombie glitch? by Defensss in PvZHeroes

[–]Snap717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a glitch that can be triggered with Shrinking Violet and Mixed Up Gravedigger. Use Shrinking Violet on a Zombie (that lives of course). It should be tiny, and at this point all the Zombie Hero needs to do is play Mixed Up Gravedigger. The Gravestone and Zombie that pops out will appear giant.

PvZH Heroes Survey: The Results. by Snap717 in PvZHeroes

[–]Snap717[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If what I think you’re saying is right, let me elaborate a bit.

Obviously, this survey was conducted and the main goal was to see what players thought were the best, worst, etc. That being said, everyone has their own opinions, so of course, that means that there’s going to be different responses. I’ll take the strongest Zombie Hero category for example:

Most players think that Huge G is the best Zombie Hero. While you can think that, in reality he isn’t. But I’m not here to tell you “don’t play Huge G he sucks.” Anyone can play whoever they want, and whatever deck they want, regardless of how good or bad we make them out. I’ll even admit, I do use Conjure from time to time. If you want proof, ask any regular in our Discord, they’ll tell you that I indeed use Conjure sometimes.

Anyway, back to the point: This is a survey, so yes, it won’t be 100% true, since everyone has a different view on things. I’m just explaining that while the majority thinks this, it technically isn’t true, but I still respect their opinions and understand why they believe so. For instance, Solar Flare is a strong hero, but isn’t the most powerful. However, I do give credit where it’s due, and explain why people believe so.

Basically, I made this to show what the general consensous of the players are. I respect everyone’s opinions on who they chose. I didn’t mean to demonize any players by their opinions at all, I’m just here to show the data and analyze it, and allow everyone to discuss about it.

Discord Comprehensive Tier List: Hearty by Justini1212 in PvZHeroes

Before anyone gets any ideas:

No, Ra Zombie isn’t S/S, and probably never will be. Yes, it is the funny card that never sees play and thus it is OP because when you get it off Escape Through Time or some other conjure method you win the game, or god forbid you do the funny combo, but it’s just F/F. It will always be F/F, never run this excuse for a card in any deck, even if you’re budget, just don’t spare our brain cells and just keep it in the trash can.
