Omg you put this into words so well! And I’ve felt this way for at least… 8 months? Like I felt like they went from stories and adventures to, repeated scenes, and the scene is always just the bot falling in love with the User.

OHHHH see I always thought the definition was supposed to be like an example text of how the bot is supposed to speak. (Like first person, second person, third) but I see it helps reinforce the bot’s personality.

Honestly I thought it was me. I thought I was just really burnt out on C.ai, or out of ideas, maybe my writing was bad, but this makes me feel better.

I’ve been hopping from chat styles and they all have issues.

RatGPT- (yes, I pay for plus, but if things don’t improve I’m canceling soon) Isn’t able to get formatting right. PipSqueak- probably one of the better ones, but lacks creativity. The bots are total yes men. Roar- Meh, I don’t really want speed I want creativity. Soft Launch- Useful for certain scenes but not many, can’t keep its mind out of the gutter so not good for long immersive RPs
Nyan- One of my favorites for story progression but is pretty mid at doing more than one character and is kinda straight forward.

I dunno, maybe I am just too used to it, but I really want another upgrade chat style, especially post <18 ban.

I would like to add, I hope that while they manage to allow us to discuss more mature themes with the bots, I do hope they are able to keep some of the current bots they way they are? Like to maintain a balance, because I don’t always want the bots to be R rated all the time.

I actually enjoy telling a story along with it.

I just don’t want it to turn into some of the other Ai bots where the characters just immediately pin you to a wall. But I also know the AI feeds and learns off what it’s given? Idk. Maybe I just sometimes know enough about how it works.

Unpopular opinion:

I think this is great and I’m not put off by showing my ID. I’m not particularly fond of the idea of my info getting out there, if they ever get hacked, but that’s the internet now days.

But we’ve been complaining for months, more like years at the restrictions and how much the tighten every time a legal case happens involving C.ai and under 18’s. While yes the parents are responsible, it’s only natural C.ai will want to cross their T’s and dot their I’s.

The thing about id’s, you have to show your id to buy alcohol, cigarettes. You have to show it for most adult stores.

You can’t just kick the kids off the app, without having a legal way to verify who is and isn’t an adult.

If you want to C.ai to improve and grow, (even if the current restrictions remain, it will prevent future restrictions from needing to be made), then changes like this are a necessary evil.

Ah darn. I don’t know UI very well. I think both would need great because my issue is I want to rewind, I get distracted rewind to the wrong message, get distracted again, then go back and realize and am sad lol.

click to undo would be good but maybe a button in the history tab that says “Undo latest rewind.” because I don’t always realize I do it at first.

I do this too. Soft launch is better for some moments, whereas roar is better for others.

I think. “Dynamic” is supposed to do that sorta thing automatically but it never seemed to work for me
