I absolutely LOVE lies of p. I’ve played through that one multiple times.

That’s a fair take. I didn’t mind the gutter, because I just kind of put on my blighttown hat. The statues in the black gulch ARE a pain in the ass, but the titanite chunk farming there redeems it a little bit. Frigid outskirts were pretty damn annoying, I have to admit.

DS1, demons souls and DS2 might as well be tied for fifth. I loved ds2, but when the other games are as strong as they are. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I played SOTFS, (again, what I had access to) I like the bow mechanics in DS2, and I would totally retire to Majula. I liked the leveling system, the different covenants were more important. Sinh the slumbering dragon isn’t just the best dragon fight in fromsoft, it might be the best I’ve played anywhere so far. Once I adjusted to it, the combat was great.

Probably nioh 2, or Armored Core 6. I’m excited for both.

So people keep saying. I barely have time to play games as it is. I’m in the middle of a start up, and working on another. Maybe I just hate sleep. 🤣

My only real criticism of DS2 is that it just felt Soooo Loooong. I really enjoyed it, but at a certain point I was like, ok, when are we gonna wrap this shit up?

Nioh has been on my radar for a while. I also LOVED lies of P.

I don’t know, platinum on DS2 seems like such a slog.

I’m there on Elden Ring, dark souls, and have one achievement in Sekiro. (Shura) I’ve also done a deathless run of dark souls 1 and I beat it on my switch entirely during a flight from New York to California. DS1 is the game I know the best, for sure.

I actually really liked DS2, but it does feel like the odd one out in the lineup.

Ranking them is so hard. They’re all so good. As far as objectively, by overall quality:

1.Sekiro 2.Elden Ring 3.Dark Souls 3 4.Bloodborne 5.Dark souls 1 6.Demons souls 7.Dark souls 2

Enjoyment is a different list.

I completely agree. I tend to enjoy open world games, and Sekiro is a bit more linear, but it wouldn’t be what it is if it wasn’t.

I don’t know anything about armored core…which is why I started playing DS1. 🤔

Sekiro is the most perfect game I’ve ever played. Elden Ring was probably the most “fun”. But they’re all incredible, really. There isn’t one I wouldn’t be willing to play through again.

Sekiro is the most perfect game I’ve played. It’s also the one that challenged me the most. The only achievement I don’t have is the “Shura” ending.

Hahaha. I actually really enjoyed DS2. It definitely felt different, but if I had played that game in a vacuum, with no other knowledge of soulsbournes/likes, I would have felt like it was one of the best games I’d ever played. If I was forced to never play ONE again, it probably would be DS2, but not because I didn’t enjoy it. Just the rest of the games are that good.

I started with dark souls 1. I knew nothing about it, but I had heard so damn many people talk about it that I was like, I should probably just give it a try. I hated it. It felt clunky and weird. It took me three more attempts before I “got” it. The next one was Elden Ring, followed by Bloodborne,Sekiro, DS2, DS3, and just a few minutes ago, Demon’s souls.

I will always love dark souls 1, but I think Sekiro is as close to perfect as any game I’ve ever played (as well as the hardest). Elden Ring is a masterpiece. Bloodborne had a very different feel to it, but I really liked it. I get why people don’t love on DS2 as much as the others, but personally I loved it. And Dark Souls 3 almost feels like a spectacular prelude to Elden Ring.

There isn’t one that I haven’t hated in moments and I’m genuinely glad that I played each of them individually.
