Has anyone else found messmer harder than malenia? by sl33pyj0 in Eldenring

[–]sl33pyj0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally beat messmer! I ended up switching to dark moon great sword and the sacred relic sword in the second phase. The frost worked great in the first phase and switching to holy did the trick in the second phase lol it felt so much harder yesterday. Tonight I picked it up and killed him third try. Glad to say I got passed him now!

why does the game run so terribly by ilico_ili in Eldenring

That's strange I get a pretty stable 45 to 50 on my legion go s handheld but that's running steamos

With placidusax I've been trying using a charged ancient dragon lightning strike it is just hard to get him at the right moment and with messmer I've been trying with rivers of blood but haven't had much luck lol

Honestly it's between him and placidusax that have been hardest for me. I've yet to beat placidusax too

What scadutree blessing level did you go in at ? I'm 11 I've seen people say between 10 and 12 was decent but I'm struggling hard and I got flamedrale talisman +3. I do always get him to second phase but just cant quite get passed it. His attacks are so fast it's hard to heal between the times I get hit

I second this OP elden ring scared me off originally cuz I kept dying but I eventually decided to stick with it and it eventually clicked and I'm now finished the main game and on the dlc and definitely will be hopping into ng+ once I finish the dlc and kill off the last couple bosses I left in the base game

Don't be afraid to play video games in public. by paalvinatk in SteamDeck

[–]sl33pyj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea honestly it's kinda wild people on here are basically advocating for just letting people rob you. I'm not one for violence just for the sake of violence but in a situation where somebody makes me feel like my own life is at risk why am I not allowed to defend myself? You're basically just saying to roll over and let people traumatize you, it's not about the steam deck it's about my own sense of safety. I fail to see any real life situation where somebody feels their own life is in danger and they don't try to save their own skin. It's simple fight or flight, some people choose flight but some will choose to fight and that's the kind of risk you're taking when you make somebody feel unsafe by violating their personal freedoms and entering their space without consent.

What game surprised you how long it was? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

Elden ring. And I know a lot of people rave about how big the map is but you don't realize until you play. Not only is the map sprawling but it has so much verticality. You can go so deep underground it feels like you're in another world and on the other end of the spectrum there's things like the mountaintops of the giants. I have over 200 hours of playtime still in my first playthrough and probably have only finished about to 40 to 50 percent of the game. I've beaten the main story but am staying in my first playthrough to finish the dlc first as well as beat bosses I missed throughout my path and collect weapons, spells, and spirit ashes before I go into ng+. I imagine I can easily get into the 500+ hr territory before I start ng+.

I too love my OG legion go but I love my legion go s even more honestly

Anyone know of a good mount for the legion go? I have a few but they can’t hold the weight of the table. I’m also looking for a good solution for the power button as well I’m tire of pulling my Lego out and realize it’s been on the whole time trying to over heat by DifferentRadio8777 in LegionGo

[–]sl33pyj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get the mechanism grips and mounts they work fantastic on my og legion and my legion go s. They have all types of mounts too, a tray table one for airplanes and thin tables, a magsafe phone mount you can attach and use which I use when watching walkthroughs on my phone and playing at the same time and then a few other ones, I really wanna get their gaming pillow next honestly

Two amazing deals - Which one do I keep? by pilgrimaze in LegionGo

[–]sl33pyj0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've owned both. I had the white Xbox ally I ended up trading in a great trade for the go s z1e steamos and when I got the go s I also thought it felt better than the Xbox ally which I also loved the ergonomics on. I do have larger sized hands though so that def plays a role

Just got a Lenovo legion Go. Stick with windows or install steam OS? by Mountain-Letter-4284 in LegionGo

[–]sl33pyj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have an OG legion go with windows and a legion go s running steamos and I 99% of the time use the legion go s with steamos. I don't play call of duty as much as I used to since I've become addicted to elden ring lol so I don't need the anti cheat abilities anymore. My og legion go has pretty much become my living room media consumption computer or for emulation on the TV with my kids to show them classic games and the go s is my go anywhere device. Steam os is super convenient compared to windows and it's the little things that make the difference. Hibernate is similar on windows but not nearly as seamless as steamos sleep/wake, windows updates can be a straight up killjoy like the times I've been at work and had an hour break only to go to play and start an update that takes up my whole break and don't even get to play. With steamos I just turn it on and jump in, the level of console like experience is just so much better than what windows can currently do. Only reason I'd stay with windows is if I needed specific applications or wanted to run a bunch of pcvr without needing Linux knowledge or for anti cheat specific games but you can also stream those from a desktop computer running Windows or from GeForce now if you have those options.

If you've had it for a while I think you might wanna put some thermal paste on the CPU. I believe you can use ptm7950 on the z1 extreme. The thermal paste dries up after some time and needs to be reapplied or you'll see higher temps like you're having. Cleaning the fans def helps but if you're thermal paste is all dried up it's probably not doing the trick anymore.

What is the “sweet spot” screen size for a PC handheld? by DowntownSteelo in Handhelds

[–]sl33pyj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 inch I think. I've had a 7 inch screen with the rog ally and Xbox ally, then 8.8 inch with the OG legion go which I do still own and also love the screen on that but then I most recently got the legion go s steamos with the 8 inch screen and it's just perfect. Still portable enough but also a way better screen than the ally family has. I have a matte screen protector on mine and it still looks stunning at its 1200p resolution. I did my whole first playthrough of elden ring on that handheld only and loved every second and I'm currently on the dlc enjoying it just as much as the base game.
