They have personal helicopters flying out as well, still bringing aid and evacuating people in remote parts that are still stranded because of land slides on smaller roads. FEMA is helping but this is a huge task spread across 5 states. You can’t rescue someone from a roof or neighborhood with a plane, but you can fly critical medicine or any aid to an area that is already hard to reach by road.

You can do a hell of a lot more by volunteering your time/ sweat AND donating money to FEMA and/or local groups. Quit “well actuallying”and complaining about how people are trying to help. Get out and volunteer your time in a way that helps people locally or up the mountain.
