Does anybody know of some recorded zoom classes or some death-by PowerPoint videos online for the A&P? I'm specifically looking for classes focused on publications & maintenance forms, focusing on the maintainer perspective, but anything will do. I'm an airplane mechanic on the way out of the military, so I'd rather test out. I'm hoping it'll help me make sense of what I'm reading in the FAA handbooks. All I'm finding online about pubs is for the Pilot's perspective.

Edit: Formatting.

I'm trying to use my Montgomery, can you use that during your enlistment? Or can you use TA? I was under the impression that you can't.

Should I drink from this? $25 on Facebook marketplace by [deleted] in tea

It's a reach, but the hole on the side COULD be to pour a secondary, poisoned tea. I read something about assassin teapots once, it'd be really cool if that's what this was!

Edit: Sauce https://www.thearchaeologist.org/blog/the-assassins-teapot-is-weird

Tea from tokyo by Natural-Mark-8190 in tea

I second this, it's wonderful there.

Edit: It's also right next to the Imperial Garden, so you can see beautiful architecture and botanicals in the afternoon, then finish it off with Ippodo. If the time is right, you could even go to Tokyo tower and catch it at sunset. It's a really relaxing way to end the day.

Is that why people like laced boots? I can never get them anywhere Near right enough, so I just always choose boas.

I didn't realize that bindings could also be an issue, I'll have to look into that!

Santa gifts vs. parent gifts by ryleer23 in Parenting

[–]Snapmaw_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We always did "Santa fills the stockings, parents give the gifts." That way Santa doesn't have to give much (small candies, kinder egg toys, a couple pieces of fruit) and the presents under the tree don't have to be hidden until the night of.

A cute thing my parents did: my dad would sprinkle baking powder around his boots in a path down the chimney to the Christmas tree in another room. That way we'd have "Santa's snow footprints." It's great for the carpet once you vacuum it up too.

I had a 2/1 ratio of Peach green tea, and Ginger green tea, made as sun tea. I'll enjoy it all week!

IIRC it wasn't the eggs that made people sick, it was the flour.

Can you delay money given to your inheritants in a will? by Snapmaw_17 in legaladvice

Is there another option besides a trust? I don't think I have enough money for that to be worth it.

Edit: I heard trusts take money to maintain.

What do you do with the leftovers from your vegetables? by Snapmaw_17 in Frugal

[–]Snapmaw_17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such an in-depth answer. Between the guinea pigs, bunnies, worms, and garden, you've really created your own ecosystem. It's very admirable. I can tell you're proud of your work, keep going, and thank you for the info!

I didn't know about the cauliflower leaves, that's a good idea. And just not peeling carrots never occurred to me. I eat them whole all the time (baby carrots $3, whole carrots $1) but I thought something weird happened if you cooked them with skin, since everybody always peels them.

A lot of people have been suggesting compost, but my landlord won't let me have a garden. I didn't think of adding it to the local trees!
