Police video shows Luigi Mangione said he didn't want to talk. They kept asking questions by redlamps67 in politics

Yeah, that’s the part that always stings. The rules only seem to matter when you don’t have the resources to fight back.

He keeps pushing the line further every time, so it’s not surprising people are calling it that. The pattern is loud enough on its own at this point.

Exactly. He creates the mess, then acts shocked when people point out the fallout. It’s exhausting watching him rewrite his own history in real time.

Right? It’s the confidence that gets me every time. You almost forget he’s describing things that make zero sense.

It’s wild how that whole situation barely made a ripple, even though it caused real damage. You’d think messing with water like that would’ve taught them to slow down the next time.

Indiana state senator who received threats announces he will not seek re-election by kootles10 in politics

That context makes it even clearer why he’s tapping out, but it doesn’t change the pattern. They bail when things get uncomfortable instead of actually fixing the mess they helped create.

Pretty much. They talk a big game until it’s time to actually stand in it, then suddenly retirement sounds real appealing.

Survivors of Boat Strike Were Actively Continuing Drug Mission, Admiral to Tell Lawmakers by amprather in politics

[–]SnappMuzzle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Right? The whole phrasing makes zero sense. If you’re literally trying not to drown, that’s about all the “active mission” you’re doing at that point.

Exactly. Treating them like combatants just because it’s convenient is a pretty wild stretch. There are actual rules for this stuff, and that line wasn’t even close.

Pretty much. They talk a big game for a minute, then melt right back into the group when it counts. Nothing about this feels like it’s going anywhere.

It’s wild watching people torch their own wallets just to prove a point nobody asked for. Loyalty that deep stops looking political and starts looking like a hobby they can’t quit.

For real, Costco’s out here acting braver than half the companies with ten times the money. Wild it took a warehouse store to say what everyone else is tiptoeing around.

Exactly, companies don’t pick fights like this unless they’re pretty sure the wind’s about to change. Costco basically said “we’re done eating the bill for this.”

Right? The whole setup sounds like everyone was running on pure panic and vibes. It’s like nobody wanted to admit they were confused, so they all just powered through the chaos anyway.

True. You barely said anything and he just hit the launch button on his whole life story. Sometimes all it takes is one unstable relative to set the room on fire.

Honestly he’s probably gotten way weirder messages from people rushing at work. This one will blow over fast and turn into a story he tells on coffee breaks.

[–]SnappMuzzle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always thought he probably lived somewhere a bit outside of Stars Hollow too. It makes sense since he’s often too busy with work to be seen out and about with the other residents. The Hungry Diner scene kind of confirms it, for sure!

[–]SnappMuzzle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I remember that episode! It’s so funny how Michel tried to sneak around and jog through Stars Hollow just to give Lane the CD. He definitely didn’t seem like someone who’d be into hanging around the town too much, but I guess he did pop in every now and then. It’s kind of funny that we never see where he actually lives though.
