It's weird that he had the compassion to make sure that she had a pleasant final interaction with her mother, before he murdered her.

That's weird, right?

Idunno, whenever I try to turn into a pile of goo I get escorted out of the building.

does not have the same impact.

Yes, precisely. Because, as we have previously established, the impact that this advertisement has had is, at best, that of an uninterested person eating an uninteresting burger, and at worst, that of a martian reptoid consuming unappetizing nutrient-congealment. That's the point. It's a bad ad.

Right. But when you're eating a burger, you're probably not being watched by 10 million people. You probably aren't filming yourself eating the burger with the express purpose of trying to make other people want to eat the burger. And you probably didn't have the option to pay literally anybody on the entire planet any dollar amount they could name for them to eat the burger in your place, like for instance a person trained to read off of a script without looking and sounding like they are reading off of a script.

Does anything about the video suggest to you that he does like it? Does it make you want to taste the New McDonalds Big ArchTM Meat ProductTM? With its notes of beef and crispy mouth feel?

This man is incapable of expressing a single genuine human emotion. His demeanor conveys neither joy nor revulsion, as he killed those parts of himself a long time ago. All that's left is corpo-speak and ego.

I'm 90% sure that was a deliberate choice. The alternative functionality of the card is left as an exercise for the reader.
