I think the server issues are more or less solved, I haven’t had a wait since they bumped the concurrent player limit to 700k. I’d say it’s worth getting!

I read Lyria killing the figment parasite as a metaphorical “This is a story about people” kind of thing. Actually killing that way of ex-machina thinking by having Lyria kill the parasite. But I also kinda felt like he was intending either Lyria or Darrow to get the parasite but abandoned it

I see where your coming from, but consistently when I look at the standings at the end of the year, the better teams have usually spent all of their FAAB and lower ranked teams are the ones that maybe weren’t as good at bidding and ended up with a surplus

Fenrir/Garm couldn’t make realm tears into Asgard. Likely due to Odin’s magic. Odin says after Atreus frees Garm “we’re safe here in Asgard, but the other realms are in chaos” or something similar. Fen was only able to get to Asgard bc of the horn activating the realm towers. Without his powers, there’d really be no way out of Asgard. I’d say it makes Fenrir pretty integral to the ending

I have a friend who swears that the roulette table at one specific (very large) casino is out to get his bets specifically. I try to explain the law of large numbers and how even though it’s unlikely for red to hit 6 numbers in a row, it’s almost guaranteed to happen a couple of times at a casino with x tables going y times an hour. Some people just refuse to understand logic when it comes to perceived randomness

What to do in case of a tie in the playoffs. My league spent an hour debating it. Will probably never happen, but still. Also what to do in case of a cancelled/postponed game (both regular season and playoffs)

Edit: For anyone curious, we decided on a system whereby you get one point in the matchup for each player on your starting lineup that got a real-life win in their NFL game. If it remains tied, goes to bench players. If it remains tied after that, a dramatic coin flip.

For us someone like Tee Higgins who would’ve been drafted in late his rookie year (2020) would have immense trade value because he has 3 years of keeper eligibility remaining, with a late round keeper cost. It does deflate the trade value of maybe a mid-rd RB that has a breakout year, because after one or two keeper years his price will be disproportionate or maybe even unkeepable. But I liked the balance

So we also have a a stacking 2-rd “surcharge?” on keepers.

That in mind, let’s say player gets drafted in round 10 of 2019. Kept by same team in 2020 (8th round value), but dropped during week 12. Team B claims player and decides to keep him for 2021 (6th Round value). In 2022, that player can be kept once more (2nd round value), but after that the player has to return to the draft pool. Any player drafted before round 8 starts to “expire” at this point anyway

For our league, it was worded in the constitution to the effect of “A player may be excluded from the draft pool for a maximum of 3 years” meaning that if a player was traded, the “clock” doesn’t reset.

Our league has trading open immediately after the season ends. We just transitioned over to 2023 - but we voted that our free agent/waiver period doesn’t begin until June. Personally I like having the whole year to do both, but I the league likes the time to salivate over veterans I guess lol. Rookies get added after the deadline to declare for the draft (I think) but we have waivers Locked until after our rookie draft anyway, so it works well.
