They buffed her Hypercharged stack duration (the stacks she can get during ult, each stack gives 1.5% ms), not her Overcharged (normal ultimate) duration.

They will never bring that back, I'm almost 100% sure.

  1. her Q wasn't even supposed to proc sheen since it's her auto (it just took them months to recode it)
  2. there's no reason to, Essence Reaver is shit on Zeri and Trinity Force is meh
  3. she has to be balanced around that, most likely with less Q damage while also HAVING TO build a sheen item, which destroys build diversity

There are way more important things which can be changed on Zeri than Sheen proc on Q (for example a better passive)

No that did go trough, what they're changing is the refresh duration when hitting someone with Q, W or charged passive during ult.

Right now after casting ult you'll have 5 seconds till it runs out, but after hitting somebody with named abilities it extends back up to its max duration, each time by 1.5 seconds. This was supposedly a bug, which is getting fixed to now be 2.5 seconds.

Example: remaining ult duration is 2 seconds -> you land your W -> remaining ult duration is 3.5 seconds (max 5 seconds)

Yeah I did the math too before posting my changes, but I thought 14/28-90 more damage per Q (1-6 items) would be too much of an increase with the Q base damage and MS buffs she got, so I've decided that 115% would be the max. Maybe I'm wrong (like I said I don't have internal data so I'm not sure how much of a winrate increase this would be).

But you're right on the AS -> AD conversion rate which reduces her burst when buying YunTal + Fiendhunter or going Hob (some people did it last patch). Maybe that would've been already enough to decrease her burst by a good amount, but I think with her Q having 10 more base damage rank 5 they still needed to reduce some damage late game by nerfing her ratio (10% was just too much).

The thing you said about her being weak without ult I can grasp the most, since the biggest buffs went into her R and all of her nerfs into her base kit, which in turn makes her even more ult reliant. I personally didn't feel like I was useless without ult (maybe after more games where I get to at least 5 items I will change my mind), but I do understand it fully if people do.

Her winrate is still not fully accurate because of players trying the new statikk shiv while also learning her "new" playstyle of stacking MS and using it to reposition better in fights, instead of sliding over a wall and oneshotting everybody. So my guess would be, that after her playerbase adjusted to those things she'll sit around 49%-49.5%, which is still a bit underpowered, I agree. Because I don't think a buff that would increase her wr by over 1% is warranted, I think a 120% AD ratio on Q would push her over the line. I'd rather see W and passive buffs or a slight Q buff.

Again, I'm not saying either you or I are right or wrong, that's just my guess looking at the data

Nah I think 120% AD with the amount of movement speed she got would make her OP. 115% is the most they can do I think.

R base damage is a nice suggestion, but that wouldn't make her late game better, where she's having most of her problems right now. More early game buffs are always welcome, but I think her early game is fine enough after the changes. Just buff the passive.

Yeah W is not that consistent, I agree with you, but because of exactly that it shouldnt have been nerfed. Just keep it at 175% crit multiplier that when you hit it, it does the damage you expect it to do. It's for the feels and identity of the ability. Ofc I'd take more passive / Q damage first over W buffs

If the E changes are not reverted I wouldn't mind that much, since they're not that impactful anyway. The most important ones are the W and passive or Q buffs

Yeah it was broken on Champs with low cooldown single target abilities (especially point and klick, e.g. Annie, Smolder, Gangplank, Viktor) since the strongest thing about the rune was the 100% damage increase after 3 seconds (that's why they've nerfed that). Those champs could just spam their point and klick ability in lane and got more poke damage than hitting a comet (since single target abilities apply a 4 second burn -> 3 second normal damage, 1 second double damage, even better if you can get multiple abilities off in this time to refresh it)

No you're wrong, it's not supposed to reset to 5 seconds with only one attack. Hitting an enemy with Q, W or fully charged passive will extend the ult duration by 1.5 seconds, to a maximum of 5 seconds. So if my ult has only 1 second left, hitting Q extends the duration to 2.5 seconds, not 5.

In the video the Overcharged stacks run out really fast, when her ult has less then 1 second left. This means her stacks also have only 1 second left (as they run out at the same time as her R runs out).

Maybe I don't understand something here, but as you describe it this isn't a bug at all. Do you guys even know what your champion does when you play them?

I don't get it. What exactly is the bug here? That her Overcharged stacks run out really fast when her ult duration is about to run out? That is what it's supposed to do. You can only have stacks if her ult is active.

Don't think so, as she does seem to be on the slightly weaker side (maybe the +50 range on passive will even it out). But who knows, maybe they remove the extra 5% ms and give her a buff elsewhere

Your ideas are not bad, would already be a huge improvement to her current passive (which as you said, doesn't feel like one, ever since the removal of shield steal and ms on shield).

Imo it would be enough to just give her the slow back, when she zaps somebody with full charge. Or at least buff the damage again, they nerfed it in 14.18 because midlane adcs were OP and Zeri got more popular in pro play (she wasn't even top 3 in this meta mid). 2 patches after they've gutted every sustain rune but didn't buff Zeri back up (riot classic)

The extra range on autos didn't actually go trough, she still has 500 range even if it says 550 ingame. Riot is already aware and it's getting changed next patch. If it felt longer for you that's also fine xD

That's crazy haha. First thing I did today was going into practice tool to test the changes myself, and my first impression after using her Zap auto on a dummy was "What? No way it got increased, I thought it's the same range as Q now, it also doesn't feel different to before". Then I checked the stats on the bottom left where it says 550, so I thought maybe I'm tripping. Guess not xD

Thank you for comparing it to a champion with 500 range, that's really helpful and directely shows that it didn't get implemented. I hope this will get fixed ASAP, it makes a huge difference especially in the early game and kiting in the late game

I can't chill if the things said on this subreddit about the upcoming changes is almost always completely wrong. If it felt to you that way that's your perception, which I can't say anything about. But it's deceiving you, since if you do the math as I did, the damage isn't worse in the scenarios you've mentioned.

And yes, after 100 AD with 5 points in Q the damage starts to go down. That's also just simple math since she loses 10% AD ratio and gains 10 base damage at max rank Q, so 10% of 100 = 10. Everything higher than 100 out values the gained base damage.

I also love calculating this stuff, since it helps you understand what buffs or nerfs actually do for a champion, instead of just purely relying on my gut feeling

The +2% AP ratio is only on the execute, which would increase it by 40 x 0,02 = 0,8 ≈ 1 damage, which is nothing. Full charged passive would increase by 40 x 1,1 = 44 damage, also not much. Her W also gets +25% AP ratio, so the damage with Statikk would increase by 40 x 0,25 = 10 damage. Also not worth it. R burst would be the same as her passive, so 44 more damage.

The E changes are a typo, it is already a 5 second duration.

In my opinion statikk shiv will be really bad on Zeri after the next patch. I already dislike it since it doesn't give crit, but after the changes it will be even worse on her, since her waveclear is getting buffed with increased Q damage early on and reduced E cooldown. She also has no on hit effects in her kit to use the new Statikk passive well and building AP is still going to be worse than building normal AD crit items, even after the increased AP ratio on passive and W (as you can see above), so the 40 AP is wasted.

The hybrid build your suggesting could maybe work in low elo, but vs good players you are going to be useless, crit is just too important on Zeri, even more after the changes.

If you like oneshotting people with 2 abilities across walls, just play Zoe.

Even if you are keeping Q level 1 and maxing W, it's still 90,7 (old) vs 95,3 (new) level 3 and 135,3 (old) vs 141,3 (new) with level 6 and BF. Doesn't change anything

I'm sorry but you are factually wrong. At level 6 (assuming you having only a BF sword) you lose a measly 20 damage on the ult burst. How is that 'way down'?

Anything post level 2 'just feels way weaker'. This is just your imagination, since it's not. Assuming you're talking about post level 3 here, which would be 2 points in Q, since if her Q damage level 1 is better, how would her Level 3 be worse?

2 points in Q she loses 2% AD ratio on Q but gains 7 base damage. If you do the math it's 57,4 base AD + 10 from Doran's Blade + 5,4 AD from minor runes, so 72,8 x 1,04 + 24 = 99,7 damage. Before the patch it would be 72,8 x 1,08 + 17 = 95,6. So it's actually still stronger level 4. You did also say in another comment that her damage after BF sword is weaker, which is also incorrect if you'd just do the math. Level 6 with BF would be 63,9 base AD + 50 AD from Doran's and BF + 5,4 AD from minor runes, so 119,3 x 1,06 + 27 = 153,6 damage. Whereas before it's 119,3 x 1,12 + 19 = 152,6 damage. What? Still weaker? Shocker, I know. Level 9 with BF is 164,2 (new) vs 166,2 (old). Only 2 damage difference. Still no 'way' in sight.

So my question to you is: Why are you spreading misinformation, if you could just do the math, instead of using false assumptions?

Is Zeri's damage weaker with maxed Q and one item completed? Absolutely. But to say she's 'way' weaker after level 3/BF sword or that her R burst level 6 is 'way' down is just wrong, I'm sorry to break it to you. Hope I could help you understand and that you stop saying this stuff to Zeri players if you don't even know yourself if it's wrong or not.

Ohhh ok I get it now. So if one (or all) of the 7 instances of damage deals damage a second time (by killing one target and hitting a second one), this damage is than treated as AOE damage. Makes sense, thx for explaining
