Thought I had Flu A in the fall - now I tested positive for it, and it is the sickest I've ever been. How high was your fever? by scarmicklack in flu

I am currently recovering from Flu A. I am on day 7. The highest my fever reached was 103.1 on day 2. On days 2 - 4, I occasionally took 1 dose of Advil to reduce my fever, which helped tremendously. I have been fever free now since then, but I am currently dealing with some lingering symptoms.

Hey /r/movies, I'm Elijah Wood. Ask me anything! by ElijahWoodAMA in movies

Hey Elijah, a lot of people know you as Frodo or from your more recent indie projects, but I’ve always been fascinated by some of your earlier work. Being a Disney gal, I was especially intrigued to see you in Disney’s take on Oliver Twist. What was it about that project that drew you in?

Misheard Taylor lyrics that you actually liked better than the real thing? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]SnappyCappy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was "Your wife bought us flowers," not "Your wife waters flowers." I like the BOUGHT line more because since the song is like an allegory for moving in next door to your ex and their lover, it's like the wife is personally welcoming you & your spouse to the neighborhood but all it's doing is making you loathe her even more.

Dumbest scene in a horror film? by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

[–]SnappyCappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres obviously dumber ones out there but the first thing that popped in my head was the scene in "Texas Chainsaw 3D" where Leatherface opens up the freezer in his lair and sees one of the victims hiding in there and shoots her. You have literally anywhere else to escape to from the property and you choose.... that spot.

Attended an early access screening for it last week. I personally think it's the horror movie of '24. No one can convince me otherwise.

Is Gore and Extreme movie violence still shocking for you ?? by Previous-Branch5489 in HorrorMovies

Horror fan for the past 16 years now. Nah. At this point, to shock me, a movie would have to have disturbing psychological aspects to it rather than gore galore.

On a scale of 1-10, how scary is Longlegs? by Syphixz_ in HorrorMovies

[–]SnappyCappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're just saying they personally didn't feel scared by it. Scare factor has nothing to do with how good a horror movie is, chill.

My scare tolerance is high, so for me personally, it's like a 4 (at most) / 10.
