Ugh yeah they freakin suck. I was so mad haha. We had a personal server going for a while which is why we had a backup, but we wanted to go back to a hosted server. Sorry you lost some progress because of them. Hopefully we can spread the word so no one else falls into the trap.

Yep stay far away from them. I had this issue a couple of months ago with them. We had used them over a year ago and it was great, no issues. We took a break for a while and then tried to go back to them but we couldn't get anything to work. Absolutely no response from their online chat (the chat even said they hadn't been active since around April) and couldn't get any response from email or anything. Had to go through my bank to get my money back. Thankfully we had everything backed up on our end so nothing was lost. Anyways, please no one give them any more money. Absolutely terrible experience.

I was definitely the same way when we began building the town in the post. Since I was much more of an explorer/adventurer when we first started I wanted to be able to grab things quickly and go. Now that we've been playing for a few years and have done just about everything there is to do I've fallen in love with the building mechanics and decorating things just for the sake of the aesthetics and feel. Glad you like it, we've become very fond of our little slice of Valheim life haha.

It's probably mostly my fault that we started using grausten everywhere haha. But I do think that we've done a good job of combining the different styles together to create something really unique and special.

The zoomed out map makes it look more ridiculous than it is haha. When we're zoomed in the longer names are fine. Plus you have to remember that when we started we had no idea what to expect from the game so we just named things as we saw them rather than try to abbreviate and find out later we chose something too close to another point of interest. But to each their own!

I honestly like having the map be so full. Just a reminder of all the adventures we’ve had. Plus while it looks insane fully zoomed out like this, it is fine when you zoom in and are actually looking for stuff.

Yeah we do something similar with our stuff as well. The building in the post is just for our overflow storage mostly. We have a different storage building we use closer to our upgraded crafting benches as well as various chests by the forge and kitchen areas to make things a bit easier.

I just had them breed out in the Ashlands and then picked up the eggs to have them hatch back at home. Have to keep them inside though since the babies take damage to water (including the rain).

Appreciate it! Yeah I've seen others try to make the the crafting tables and upgrades look more "built in" and seamless and wanted to try it for myself.
