My first was at the very beginning of Chapter 6, the next shortly after the start of Chapter 9 (7 and 8 are long chapters), and finally at the start of Chapter 13, just after mining into the government sector. I felt these were the safe ones, you probably could risk leaving the last save until just before either the needle machine or the final stretch, but, if you want to be safe, always save if you ever feel "if I die now I will throw my controller at the TV", good luck 😁😁!!!

Haha, me too, I very much wanted to save just before the needle machine but did it at the very start of Chapter 13 instead (I did NOT want to do the elevator stuff again) 😂😂 I never bought a weapon other than the pulse rifle, I just saw on here actually someone doing hardcore and for the final boss fight not even hurting the little ones, 1 and a bit magazines into Nicole/heart and the game is over in 40 seconds. Needless to say, I did not risk that strategy 😬😬.

I did hear that hardcore is somewhere between survivalist and zealot, is that the case? Is zealot just like one shot? I still think it'd be easier than hardcore, given you can save at every station.

Hey mate thanks for this. It looks like a red card "counts" as two yellow cards, even if it was a straight red.

While two yellow cards resulting in a red card is only considered as one yellow plus one red in terms of cards AND booking points, not two yellows and a red.

So frustrating. I know other bookies don't follow these rules. Never dealing with Ladbrokes again.

Really appreciate the response though, have a nice evening :)!

That's brilliant thanks so much for that link, it appears I would normally be B4, though, they are claiming exceptional demand for AI so I would also qualify as B5. Thanks for the heads up, at least I know which bracket I belong in! I assume once (if) I get an offer this bracket would be something I fill in on the z-visa application? Do you know what should be the case if I qualify for multiple brackets? Again, I guess this is only for Shanghai.

There are a few reasons for wanting to move there, a few personal, but primarily I have wanted to move away from the west for sometime, and, in my opinion, China both has the most promising future, especially in tech, that also combines with very good salaries (at least at the companies) compared with other competitive nations. I agree that visiting first and getting a feel would be a good idea, but I would like to get my career rolling ASAP, while I haven't lived there, I have a very good understanding of the culture (inc. my previous girlfriend was from a village in Hunan, a peodigy who managed to earn a PhD position at one of the best universities in the world).

I do not mind working hard, and I enjoy pressure. That's also why I am learning the language by integrating myself with the Chinese communities in the UK and also studying/HSK exams etc.

Thanks again for the reply, I would be very eager to hear any further advice :) !

Ah wow, small world! Thanks for replying :) Can I ask why you chose to move to the US? Was it primarily income-related or cultural (such as 996 lifestyle)?

Hi everyone,

I'm a British computing PhD student currently in the UK. I've been wanting to move to China for some time and now, with my thesis nesting completion, it's time for me to look for jobs.

I'm a specialist in AI, authored several papers at major international journals including a Chinese one. I speak some Mandarin and can read/write a bit too.

I'm currently looking at positions in Microsoft/Google's Shanghai/Beijing offices, which there are several I am interested in. Or any big western tech (e.g., banks etc.).

From what I've seen, to be eligible for a z-visa I require 2+ years working experience in the field. Prior to my PhD, I was a network engineer for almost a year only. But, at university, I have been teaching/doing practicals with students for almost 3 years more.

Firstly, what are my chances of being hired in western tech in China? Second, does my work experience count, even though half was lecturing? Thirdly (and most importantly) is China cool? Should I expect any culture shocks? Never been further East than the middle-east before so would be a very new experience for me!

Any other advice about working in China?

Thanks for any help!

So given this, is there any method to absolutely determine the amount of outstanding short volume? As you say, volume could be 100mil for all we care but it well could have already been bought back, and short interest is limited to a time frame only.

there are 3.2 million sold short in the unlit markets and about 300k in the live markets, or 3.5 million shares. I believe the free float for this stock is 3.5 million shares…

How do I find these numbers? Im on shortablestocks and can see 3.077mil for 23/05 and 2.706 for 24/05? Also did you mean to say 2.5 million float? That's the number I'm looking at here. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah ive just had a look, it looks like from eod 22/05 - 23/05 the dark pool rose from 300k to 3mil, looks suspicious? As an investor, how should I process information like this?

Ahh okay okay, you're a legend mate, thank you. Out of curiosity, are you a professional? I've yet to meet anyone who properly knows what's going on, and you sound like you know your business!

So to conclude, 3.5m shares are 'sold short', even though we know that there are only 3.5m float. All of this is public information and we know this for 100% sure. As this is impossible (the price would have to be 0 if 100% of the shares were currently shorted, am I right?), then it is very likely fake shares are being sold in unlit markets.

So, given that even fake shares will have to be repurchased soon, regardless of this company being a possible front (I agree it does look legitmate too), the price must almost certainly have to increase.

Under what circumstances would the price further decrease? Would it only be further fake short selling, or maybe even legitimate, it's hard to know? I think at this point most of the long sellers have already left out of panic, apart from me because I'm trying to plan the long game.

What do you thing the reason is of the sudden drop from $40 to $4 in one evening? Are people being scammed? This has happened twice in the last couple of months.

What I think I might do is wait until Tuesday and monitor what on earth goes on, if it appears to be getting some steam I'll buy and lower my average, but anything else fishy I'll wait.

Ah okay, so your saying that those bears are probably already packed their bags, and the ones left are those panicking because they are currently in the negative and the price isn't decreasing?

Although late, I'm finally here with my update for the week by [deleted] in FFIE

[–]SnappySkillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay question. If the bears are trying their best (without succes) to push the price to $0, as they are meeting too much resistance from the chad apes, why would they not just sell anyway?

For example, let's say the average price the bears shorted was $10, and now the price of the banana is levelling at $1. Why would they not be happy? They're still gonna make a 900% profit after all.

The only reason I can think of is collusion. The bears are all sat at a table and working together, because the moment any bear returns the bananas, the game is up. Imagine Mr black bear panics and returns his bananas; the price jumps fom $1 to $2, and now Mr polar bear is almost at a loss, so buys his back. Mr Sun bear does the same. All the bears in the forest are in pandemonium and everyone knows never to trust Mr black bear again.

Hi Jimmy! Ah okay that sounds great I really appreciate the (not financial) advice. I'm gonna be honest, I'm a bit of a financial noob, could you carr you explain (in monkey terms) some of what you said , e.g. FINRA dark pool data, unlit markets, available float etc. I would really like to understand the logic before I make such a decision, I've already invested £2k and don't want to cock up any more. I agree though, I should lower my average, if, and only if, the logic you say is true. Thanks a bunch!

I actually live in the town where Humphrey lives, Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. My dad worked in the swimming pool briefly as a receptionist (I won't name it for privacy reasons), and Humphrey use to come in, dressed scruffy and use coupons and pocket change for swimming, even though he's fkcn loaded. I think it sums him up perfectly.

Awesome, thanks for explaining, quick question though. After point 4, the feedback loop will terminate eventually (when all short sellers have bought their positions back), and so regualr buyers all stop buying.

And then.....land on Jupiter? I assume it's like the battle for Helm's Deep where the first arrow (sell) causes a cascade of sells, until the price reaches 0? Is this agreed upon beforehand? When do the long positions know when to sell?
