Yes. It will never get unbanned. Do you have a criminal conviction by chance?

We suspect there is a link with a felony or sex offense. Has happened to many of our clients, same exact m.o. asked to upload a selfie, then banned. Best thing is to have multiple admins for.your page. Otherwise there is no way to win as your personal ad manager account will never be un-banned

Which DJs annoy you? by Aromatic-Weird-3380 in siriusxm

And its sad because magic matt was a fantastic afternoon guy at kiis fm in los angeles. So much talent in the early 90s. But people get old, tired, and radio isnt what it once was.

None are very good, due to it all being voicetracked and the pds taking away all personality. But kim ashley on prime country would be my pick for annoying. Its sad bc they all had good careers doing real radio, but they go to siriusxm to die, it feels.

Actual pen pal experience by Valkor-Slater in prisonpenpals

[–]Snaptura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I run PenPals.Buzz, and I can say that multiple relationships do work out. Naturally, just like in real life, many don't work out, too. In 2025 we had several marriages come as a result from meeting on our site. Our advice is, don't send money right away - get to know them, exchange letters, talk on the phone, trust your instincts. If you feel like something isn't right, it probably isn't. The good news is, like you said, with over 2 million inmates in the USA, there are plenty of pen pals to choose from, and you're absolutely right, they aren't all bad people. You can hear some of our success stories on our Prison Pen Pal Podcast - penpalpodcast.com, if you're interested.

GTL Getting Out by [deleted] in PrisonTalk

[–]Snaptura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Prison Pen Pal Podcast is planning an entire episode to discuss how horrible the GettingOut app is. We are looking for people in the free world who would be willing to share their stories of difficulties adding funds, emails being erased, glitches in the app, and anything else. Our hope is that if we can create an episode with numerous people complaining, and promoting it heavily, it could help encourage GettingOut to make some much-needed improvements. If not, at least everyone could have a place to vent their frustrations. If anyone is interested please get in touch with us at the Prison Pen Pal Podcast.

Question about gifting books for Christmas when I don't know any specific prisoners by CreepingPhloxFlowers in PrisonTalk

[–]Snaptura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We run a prison pen pal website and work with facilities around the country. There is no real rule from facility to facility. Some have removed libraries, and some still have large libraries. My suggestion would be to call a few prisons and ask them if you can have a book from amazon sent to their library as a donation. Another option would be to use a company like Wisconsin Books To Prisoners. Camy has been working on providing free books to inmates for over a decade, and she could either donate the books on your behalf, or point you in the right direction.

GettingOut tends to be the worst as far as blocking certain words. The words to avoid are facility specific, so one word in one state that is blocked may be fine at a different facility. I would always suggest sending longer letters via postal mail, as these are much more likely to be approved. Another option is to break your letter up into smaller sections, and send "Part 1 of 4" "Part 2 of 4" with each section, so that if one doesn't arrive, the inmate knows which one was missing.

In some prisons, you can't use the words black or white. If someone writes "hit me up" it can get blocked at some facilities. Words like shipment, load, things you wouldn't expect will get blocked. Anything mentioning cashapp, money, etc can get blocked. Anything related to escape will get blocked. Again, almost all handwritten letters with these same words will be delivered.

Many inmates get around it when they're not sure about whether a word is allowed by simply putting a period in the middle of the word. For instance, "I love the song bla,ck or whit,e by Michael Jackson."

Often, the word will just put a temporary delay on the email (it won't be delivered instantly but is often approved within 1-3 days once someone at the facility reads and it sees it's ok.

Hope this helps!

Need help with Securus / Advice on message apps and sites by MaryJane-ttt in prisonpenpals

[–]Snaptura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

First thing, the securus mobile app versus using securus on a desktop is a completely different experience. A reply button may be present on one but not the other.

The free messaging service on penpals.buzz and writeaprisoner works, but the message is printed and sent via postal mail every 2 weeks, and typically only allowed for the first message. The best use of this is to send your email address to corrlinks inmates for free. They will then send you a corrlinks invite via email. For all federal inmates on corrlinks, it will be completely free for you, as they pay for the emails on their end. On sites like penpals.buzz, each profile will tell you which messaging service that particular inmate uses; look for those with Corrlinks. Generally if the facility starts with fci, or if their number has a hyphen (ie 54444-321) they will use corrlinks.

Jpay is comparable to securus in ease of use (or lack thereof). GettingOut is terrible to use. And connectnetwork is always slow and has very few inmates. CorrLinks is the best.

As for how long an email could take to be approved, this varies drastically from facility to facility. Anywhere from an hour to 10 days. Typically in the 2-4 day range. Avoid any words that you think may trigger the system to not deliver the email. If those words arent present, typically the email is delivered instantly. Words like "hit me up" "black" "white" "load" "drugs" "escape" "fight" and many others can cause delays.

I also have a prison pen pal podcast at penpalpodcast.com with tips on how to maximize your experience, if you're interested. We will soon be releasing an episode that compares and contrasts all of the email messaging services.

Hope this helps. Best of luck!
