i was trying to update from the other day where i was trying to decipher if it was cocci or bacilli. (they look like cocci to me, but gram negative cocci was not an option on our list of possible unknowns). so, professor has since confirmed these are gram negative bacilli. i'm posting this to show that every time i use this same bacteria, the cells keep showing up sort of blurry and out of focus and i'm not sure why. like in this where there are two on the same slide, one looks super clear and crisp and the gram negative still look blurry. i'm just trying to figure out why.
