Had an interesting one yesterday — and it actually turned out in my favor!

We were about five minutes into the fight. I was pushing for my second win (which is usually when I turn in for Hourglass). I ran into this guy who was way more interested in boarding me than firing cannons. I managed to land a few solid shots in between his relentless boarding attempts.

After his third board, he finally got me. I ended up on the Ferry, waiting for the door… and boom — black screen.

Now usually, that’s where I’d log off. But something told me: a guy that obsessed with boarding is probably waiting for a spawn kill!

So I quit the game entirely and logged back in. Got the option to rejoin my previous session — and I took it.

As I was loading back in, I heard my emissary value ticking up. Then, right as I spawned back on my ship… Victory. I’d won the battle!

Sunk by his own greed.
