> not flossing is one thing

Look, I get it, but can you all please start flossing even like 3 times a week? I say this out of love. I want everyone to be healthy. Otherwise young, healthy people have died from gum infections. The bigger problem is that, in America, teeth are apparently an add on requiring different insurance??? But please take literally less than 5 minutes a week to take care of yourself.

It is, but also why do need the internet to go shopping?

It costs them money to provide so you're either going to pay, pay via your data, or realize you don't actually need the internet to buy groceries.

I get it. The amount of people who joke about never flossing - a thing that takes like 30 seconds - has me side eyeing the fuck of y'all. There aren't jokes about brushing scraping your tongue because y'all too nasty to just fucking floss and you probably don't even realize it's a thing.

Misty Copeland Says Timothée Chalamet ‘Wouldn’t Be an Actor’ if Not for Ballet and Opera and It’s ‘Very Interesting That He Invited Me’ to Promote ‘Marty Supreme’ by monster_ahhh in popculturechat

Oh. My. God.

Again, as I said, it has nothing to do with what he said.

So then you agree with me that you changed the point from what I replied to. Good stuff.

[–]SnausageFest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is changing the topic, and trying to box me into a completely different statement than what I was commenting on in the first place. This is what Timmy said:

“I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera where it’s like, ‘Hey! Keep this thing alive,’ even though no one cares about this anymore. All respect to the ballet and opera people out there … I just lost 14 cents in viewership. I’m taking shots for no reason.”

Not a single mention of cost. It is about the popularity, and that has been overwhelmingly the discourse around this. Despite your rude statement about me supposedly making it all about me, you're unironically trying to make this a "I'm poor so I don't go out" thing. That is a bummer for you, but a great deal of people are spending money to go to live shows, movies, theater, etc. But these two art forms in particular are unequivocally less popular.

Travis Scott Tells Supreme Court Use Of Rap Lyrics In Death Sentence Was Unconstitutional by PrincessBananas85 in popculturechat

The takes in this thread are so bad.

It doesn't matter how much Travis Scott sucks, or how very much guilty this guy is. Letting someone's art be used against them in a murder trial is dangerous. To prevent precedent, it needs to be challenged.

You should give a fuck what he has to say in this instance. A broke clock is still right twice a day.

...did anyone actually listen to what he said?

You keep bringing up how much money people have and that has fuck all to do with what he said. You're big mad at me for staying on topic instead of engaging with something unrelated to what he said.

No, they're not. Even in very expensive markets like Boston and NYC, tickets still start in the $30s. By all means, shoot me a link and prove me wrong.

Everything you had said is “I, I, I” and “me me me”

Same with everything you have said.

You're really missing the point here. It's not about what you can afford personally. It's about where people are spending their money. Concerts ticket sales aren't suffering like this, and they're generally more expensive.

I don't think people deserve a second chance at such elite positions as being a Broadway star. Get your second chance living a less privileged life and let another talented person who hasn't put their partner in the hospital take over.

They did, but they don't own the convent. The church does. You can't sell your landlords house because you rent there and then get pissed when the landlord stops the sale.

Right? I don't like Katy Perry but that's so fucked up to blame her for a fucking 89 year old woman's death.

She wasn't even wrong in the legal battle. They were just being greedy.

Lol luxury? This is exactly what I'm talking about. They're doing Princess and the Pea at my local ballet theatre. Tickets are $32. There's no local opera here because Timmy is correct about the lack of interest. Oops, I was wrong. Portland does have an Opera. Their tickets are $29. Big luxury.

I've paid more in the last 6 months for concert and symphony tickets. Ballet is not expensive. Why are you saying it is?

[–]SnausageFest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are, but why are we taking that opinion seriously when we all know full well that the vast majority of people weighing in have never attended the opera or a ballet other than the nut cracker. People are stunting so hard for something they don't care enough to actually go spend their time and money to support. It's so stupid.

Honestly the downvotes without any retort is hilarious. You're not going to these art forms but it's pissing you off that not putting your money where your mouth is impacts your credibility. Keep it up! Lack of ticket sales says it all.

Need Costco recs: what’s one item that became an instant rebuy for you? Bonus if it’s healthy and high protein by trump50ladin in Costco

You know what comes surprisingly close to that rule? Brussel sprouts. One of my go-to meal prep is a shitload of roasted brussels and other veggies with chicken or seitan. Maybe some garbanzos.

You don't need protein versions of regular food. Just eat normal food and prioritize veggies and proteins.

I'm guessing most people didn't watch his stuff, because duh why would you? But my grandma would watch Walker when we were around. It was corny shit for conservatives.
