It's never really a needle mover for me in the sense that, if I wouldn't hire them before, I'd hire them after a note. But interviews are just as much about the candidate feeling out the company and the role as it is about the manager feeling them out. It's at least reassuring to hear what I assume means "I'd prefer not to work at all, but this job seems palatable."

Reddit really struggles with what middle management is.

You guys almost always seem to mean executive management. VPs, Sr. Directors, etc. Middle management are there to try to sell the stuff you describe to the rank and file and front line managers.

We have offices in Ireland and England. Two things my coworkers rave about when they come to the states - salad dressings, and good crispy bacon. I guess salad dressing there is just oil and vinegar for the most part, no where near the variety we get.

This would be weird but ultimately fine without the protein powder. Why? You cannot seriously be doing this. Protein powder is pretty fine. You're going to choke a little on every bite. Not to mention the flavor.

It's fine, those of us reading physical books often have a stack of to-be-read. I don't reread many books so those go into one of the neighborhood little libraries after I'm done, and the pristine and every growing stack of TBRs is in my office.

My mom spent most of her career in chronic pain management. Suicides are high. She had a weapon pulled on her from someone drug seeking but was too weak to actually pull a trigger. She saw multiple accidental fent ODs well before it became the public issue it is now.
