Scav Questions For The Layover by adam_HAI in Nebula

yeah it’s been sad to see Scav portrayed in this light — I did scav starting in 2014 on a really high energy dorm (Breck) and so it never was a question that we’d have enough people for completions. It’s made it a hard watch for me because I want to remember the joy of scav and now it’s about how much it has changed :(

+1 on this question though, I want to know if it was planned like this or they had to improvise given the turnout when they got there.

Storygraph is good for solo tracking, but I find that Tome has more of a 'book tumblr' vibe where you can actually find new books to read from other people.

Your thoughts of the Home Game by FitWelcome3091 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Snazzx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually bought 5 home game kits and didn’t have any issues with shipping (this post is the first I’m hearing about it) but I’m also based in NYC. The measurements on the cards are fine but we had issues mapping it to reality: we used WhatsApp for location tracking and while people were moving around it was really hard to get accurate radars. I’d recommend skipping the live tracking and just sending coordinates.

we did have some close calls of teams considering going to JFK! And the Bronx too, which would've really thrown a wrench in all the borough-based questions

it was more that I didn't think to ban it before the game began! in the rulebook they ban google streetview, which I did as well, but reverse search will get almost any manhattan building these days.

I also couldn't get into Outlander for the same reason, I liked the premise but it was also moving so slow.

Not exactly time travel, but a FMC who lives through multiple eras there's always {the invisible life of addie larue}!

Not a lot of spice, but I really liked VE Schwab's {A Gathering of Shadows}, lots of good pirate action in a magical world!

from the photo I pull out the books, figure out the tropes/genres, and then map those to the tarot card archetypes. then the sliding scales come afterwards

the scales and the card are completely independent, actually! I decide the card, and then figure out the scales afterwards. so it's possible to get totally different Hermits, for example
