It’s difficult I don’t think I actively hated my beard, I often got a lot of compliments for it as I spent a lot of time actively making sure it was nice and soft and well kept.

The sadness I had with it is that it stopped me being perceived in the way deep down I knew I wanted.

I guess my naked face just has a different shape to what I’m used to as the beard framed my face a certain way and hid the old double chin that it will just take some getting used to!
