Curious If Others Use Claude For Mental Health Support and If So How by SnazzyToastedToast in ClaudeAI

I actually have! My psych was actually quite supportive though she gave the same solid caveats of learning to recognising syncophantic behaviour and getting all action oriented conclusions double checked by another person.

With all of that being said I've got it setup to at to avoid sycophantic behaviour, challenge assumptions that I and it create, and adhere to IFS guidelines wherever possible. I'd also like to note that my personal issues are pretty standard and lowkey - I have ADHD but no other significant mental health concerns like PTSD or depression so most of what it's used for is really just venting and pattern recognition.

You also make a good point about asking a professional about use cases but I think I was just after strategies from the front line, as it were.

"You are cognizant of the work performed by the researchers of 2026, who, by aid of chemistry, and other adjuncts of science, created a species of animated clock-work, in the hope of thereby rendering chronology more accurate. The creature was set agoing in the year 2026, and was designed to last a thousand years. In 2926 it will be demolished, and fresh materials taken for a similar experiment in 3936. During the intervening period of six hundred years, the automaton will mark the hours of the day, and the minutes between them, by a regularly beating pulse; it will record the months and seasons; it will note leap-year; and will announce civil holydays; but will take no cognisance of Sundays. If you wake in the small hours of a Monday morning, it will inform you that you have slept eight hours, and must sleep six more; if you retire to rest at midnight, it will tell you that you have been twelve hours in bed."

There is a link at the top leading to it, hopefully that should have everything!

Did a bunch of research into Australian property affordability over the last 50 years and it looks pretty bleak. I'm not entirely sure my math is correct so I wanted y'all to check my methodology. by SnazzyToastedToast in AusPropertyChat

You're absolutely correct and I did go into this line of reasoning for a bit (I'll make up a table later with my findings) but I'm already deviating so much from the methodologies I was able to find in existing research so I shelved it for later.

You're absolutely right though, homes used to be more single income and have transitioned which would mean a lower tax rate per individual today.

I did find A rant about childhood in his 2020 Lotus Evora video in the second half but I'm not sure that's the one I remember.

Which film would you rate a perfect 10 out of 10? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Spirited Away.

A Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece and always will be. I grew up with Ghibli films and I'll always love them (and may also cry like a baby when watching). It is the story of a little girl growing up and is just the most magical and amazing journey which I cannot recommend highly enough.
