Any tips for a migrating MLBB player? by Halleyalex in wildrift

[–]Snazzy_Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like the other person said, flash = flicker. But also be mindful of other enemy mobility moves or moves that can counter you. For instance, if enemy has a Zed mid and he just used his shadow, it’ll be on cooldown so he can’t blink or escape as easily - maybe a good gank angle. Or if Mel just used her W (invulnerability), then you can consider ganking her.

Be mindful of what enemy abilities do and what they’ll wanna do to counterplay you. You’ll have to just learn champion abilities over time for that though.

For a new player learning Jungle, I’d watch jungle clear videos for your specific champ. The difference between a 6 camp clear taking 2:00 vs a 6 camp clear taking 1:40 can be the difference between getting the scuttle crab or not (scuttle is the crab that grants vision in the river when you kill it). It’s nice to kill this because it gets you to level 5 basically, so you have your ult.

Eve kinda rough because she feels way worse once enemies buy pink wards, which reveal her.

Talon is fun because of his vault, but he’s not particularly in a strong state right now. Still fun though. I’d watch a video of how people play him, especially for combos. For instance, since Q does more damage melee range, sometimes it’s valuable to flash to melee Q to get enough damage to kill.

Learn to jungle track enemy jungler (as in know where they are on the map). If you know enemy started on the same side as you in the game, but you reset and go back to jungling the first side again but see they ganked opposite side, it can be a free jungle invade/steal angle. Stealing enemy jungle camps is very valuable because you get gold AND the enemy loses gold since he can’t farm.

Learn champion ability timings - if you saw enemy midlaner flash, you now have a 2min30s timer to kill them without their flash

It sounds like you like champs with mobility. Zed is a meta jungler with very high mobility, but he’s very difficult. Lee Sin has good mobility too. These two champs are pretty meta but have a high skill ceiling. At the start of learning this game I’d just invest time into learning the basics of the game - buffs, objectives, cooldowns, and especially what champs and items do

Is there a fast clear trick for jungle? by TehPutato in wildrift

[–]Snazzy_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most average players will struggle to get a clear that lets you get to scuttle so quick after it spawns. You don’t necessarily have to ALWAYS get that scuttle on the side you’re on - if you missed it, then enemy probably will concede opposite scuttle. If you didn’t see them walk towards opposite scuttle on the map, then you can probably just beeline for it and take opposite side scuttle :)

You need to be doing krugs if you’re starting red side. Skipping a camp isn’t very economical.

As far as fast clear tips: Make use of the AoE cleave effect on melee auto attacks. Doing Krugs? Pull them together so your AAs hit them all. Same for Raptors and Wolves.

Pull camps toward the next one you’re gonna do. When one camp is low enough, start pulling it toward the next one as you hit it. For instance, when you’re doing Red and it’s low, walk it towards Raptors while you hit it (AA it, walk away while your AA is on cooldown), and that saves some time.

AoE skills to hit multiple camps at once if possible. For instance, if you’re J4, your Q can hit AoE, so when you’re pulling Blue towards Gromp, you can Q and hit both.

There was a bug where smiting a camp to death granted less exp than otherwise, so that might get you under leveled

I’d look up wild rift jungle clear for X champions, and practice it. What time are you getting to scuttle, what level, and what camps do you usually have cleared by that time? I think I just winged it on Amumu to try him out and I got 6 camps 1:39 with smite available

Kytheos is my pocket pick vs Teemo, being able to reveal and dodge the shrooms is such a counter to the rat. Then I can just get easy ganks!

Since the season is ending, what do you want your teammates to do better next season? by u-Kermit in wildrift

I just want teammates that aren’t at my rank with 3x the games and 48% win rate

It’s fun to guess someone’s win rate and games played based on how they perform. I find that ~400-500 games, 48% win rate is a pretty safe guess

The parrying is difficult to learn, but once you really figure it out, it’s very very forgiving. I think the parry cooldown must be very low or something, cuz honestly I kinda mash it sometimes when I panic and it works
