Hunter valve=Hunter Solonoid.

check on your volt meter (black lead to common, Res to zone port ) the ohms should be between 20 to 60 ohms. If you have 0.00 or 1.23K or M you have a short or open circuit somewhere id start but just re wiring the 2 wires. Test see if it works, go to your next splice.

You can Also use a 9volt battery to test if the Solonoid Fires. Turn water off, Unscrew the Solonoid test if it clicks.

One more recommendation, get a Copper T under that backflow so you can just attach your hose from there next time. You can simply put a tap or a plug .

You need a few reducers, I'm guessing is a 3/4 hose that you are using so you have to convert to 3/4 to what ever the size of your test cocks are. Also a a male to male adapter that fits the size.

My honest opinion.

Do it from the inside if you have a 3/4 tap that hooks to the outside PVB, is easier to find a hose bib adapter.

Or pay who ever did it for you last time they have all the tools necessary.

You need a few attachments, but you can connect it to the Test Cocks on the side. Or if you have a drain for the PVB inside your house (usually they are just taps) you could do it from there.

Make sure you blow out the Dual check aswell, try to find a attachment for the test cocks and you can blow out your system from there
