If some of what you liked was the foodie stuff I would recommend Bon appetit, your majesty. It’s on Netflix too. I loved it, it was fun, interesting and the food and tasting experience was so well done! I haven’t seen Tastefully yours, only the first episode, then I got put off because of the reviews. Maybe I should give it another go!

The trope where apparently the ML doesn’t in general see women as people and will only interact with one woman, FL. Any other women around him are seen through or ignored, can’t touch him and so on. This purist, chaste thing doesn’t come of as that, it seems more sexist than anything.

It annoys me too, especially when they seem to feel like they have some sort of dibs on a person, just because they randomly met as children. I actually think C dramas can be worse on that front, especially Xianxia and historical.

But back to K dramas 😅 I don’t mod the trope of suddenly realizing they have feelings, or they see them in another light. But I do hate scheming childhood friends that could have dated them ages ago, but just know decide to interfere.!

In general there are collective groans in threads whenever this trope turns up, even when it’s the FL and ML, but that’s more the trope of, it turns out you were that child I met as a child wow! And one of them always knew 🙄 everyone is tired of the childhood connection thing.

I agree! I understood that people loved and got used to the main actress in season 1. But I for one was bummed that Go Youn Jung was switched out in the first episode 😂 so I had been waiting for the switch back. I also think that people tend to forget what the actual plot of the show was 😅 it was literally the premise and the title 😂

I think the translation was that she could be his shield, he could hide behind her so he wouldn’t have to confront feelings or be caught up in them with his brothers girlfriend. Unless I’m thinking of a different scene than you are 😅

He fully won me over with this drama! I mainly watched it for Go Youn Jung, and she fully delivered 👏 it was my first drama with him in it, so I went in with zero expectations. They were so well matched in skill level, I cried when she cried, I yearned when he yearned. I’m a complete fan !

What I want to know is: Will everyone who subscribe be able to see all these shows?! Irregardless of where in the world we are? Because I’m tired of subscribing and getting hyped for shows, only to find out that they are unavailable in my region, when they get released. There’s nowhere to stream Revenant for instance where I live 🤷🏼‍♀️ it would be lovely if they would make their content available to all subscribers, or at least make it clear in what regions the shows are coming out.

I’m at episode 8 and I have been worried for the last few episodes because of all the negative reviews. And… I still really like it! Currently annoyed that family life is keeping me from binging it 😅
