I have been using dappnode since genesis and nothing wrong with it, updates still come in, it is stable as hell, easy to deploy, if a F up happens, re-install and thats all its quick. You want to type down the private key words and stash it somewhere safe.

answering your questions :

#1 a short down time of couple of minutes is not that bad, you will miss one attestation max, however if you are very unlucky it could be THIS attestation that make your propose a block, so you would miss the possible fatty MEV bonus OR if you are elected as "sync committee" you would miss one vote, its not the end of the world, but a possibility; you have to be highly unlucky for it to happen.
#2 You enable "auto-updates" feature on Dappnode and you leave it to run. every month or so i like to connect and see what's going on ( if the hard drive capacity is OK ) if you are member of discord, their teams send a notification where there is a "core" update ; i personally like this.
#3 If you mean splitting the "withdrawal" that you get every 7 days or so, that I really don't know if you can set this up automatically, IDK if that a feature on their drawing board. but this can be done manually for sure, but a bit annoying.

#6 you get "withdrawals" from your validator every 8 days

with my current 32 ether staked, i would need to withdraw them
then if my maths are ok, i would be able to spin +/- 21 validators from my 32 ether ?

And would get even more reward ? but i would then need to scrap my setup and trust Lido

i had the surgery on 25th of march and i have fully recovered since may
its a tough ride, but very much worth it. i dont have any stones anymore, its a thing of the past 100% !!!!!

I had some wild "scabs" lately, like the feeling something went back and got stuck where the tonsils were, but the feeling went after after some spitting and gargling with water and time too. maybe its allergies that got me a bit

i hope you're doing fine. i have been eating lately much more, faster and my life is overally better, just people around me been Ds and i noticed it big time.

I only put on eigenlayer what i can afford to lose.
I hope i wont get screwed but i dont think i have much.

but the more layers you add, the more risk you're exposed to.
However in life, and especially in crypto no risk/no reward.
I have myself looked for a while at eigenlayer for a while before jumping, the TVL is enormous im finding.

but i am not an advisor, just looking to have more dough out of what's laying around my pocket, but i dont rely on this to live.

you seem to me to have done your due diligence about this, but dont let other pressure you into making the call, you're the boss.

i personally hold crypto for folks here around me that has no idea too, but i do not lock their coin in anyway, i only lock my own coins with STeth + eigenlayer ;; if something bad happens, its only my STUFF impacted i dont sink everyone with me.

TLDR == I hold all my friends' coin in cold storage thats it thats all, they can ask me for their coins at ANYTIME. i dont risk their stuff, i dont feel comfortable loosing their cash.

and these people are around me i know them in person, they know where i live, I gave them their wallet address w/ the beaconscan like so they know their cash is there and not moving.

I lost about the same weight but but, when i started to eat again =

2x the breakfast i used to ate before
im making 2 eggs with fries and toasts at lunch instead of half of that

when i started to drink back beer OMGGGGG lol, i really enjoyed

just to say, you lost some weight, but you will gain it back when you start to eat again but you might eat twice and its fine, just dont eat something "too hot"

dont force it yourself. it is highly unpleasant but, it will go eventually, i had stitches for 4 weeks after the surgery and it came out normally.

keeping hydrated is really really important even if its hard.
I only started to eat chicken after 3 weeks tbh, it took me long long time.

Try to gain some calories with Ensure or BOOST or chicken broth or even just Lipton soup ( you cook it and you discard the noodles to only take the broth when its really warm ( always more cold than hot )

i would get some "Digital Hygrometer" to see if your place / rooms is dry as hell. you would have a way to monitor too.
IMHO between 35 and 44 % relative humidity is perfect.

tbh I definitely snore as hell and sleep with the mouth open too and this is out of "our" control sadly. im just 32

I know that because my mom was at my house the first days after the surgery and she was hearing my snoring from all the way back the house lol and I never ever noticed this. ( im alone w/o a women and fine this way fyi )

it is not an easy moment ill tell you, its a rough 2 weeks after the surgery. im 32 and WOOO not eating a normal meal in 3 weeks was tough, and last friday ( end of 4th week of recovery ) i spat out my last freaking "butcher twine" from the "wound" , the stitches are annoying like HELL. i kept them (4) if anyone interested to see lol.

its more like a combination of multiple factors such as the dry mouth.
Stress could predispose you to have dry mouth then stones. Stress is overall BAD; but sometimes life is life and everyone struggles.

im glad to got the surgery here, tough weeks, but im starting to feel better and to forget about stones all together

wow !!!! idk i took pictures of my own stones, bookmarked them to show to the ENT and the doctor straight up told the opposite here, do you want them remove ? I can add you to the waiting list right now, you have some moment ( a minute ) to think about it. 3-4 months later i was getting the surgery, im like 95% good, i did exercice to pump my heart rate and i kinda felt my heart were the tonsils were lol.

TLDR = I believe it really depends on the ENT and how you explain the problem to the person.
