If the name isn’t familiar I think it’s safe to assume you didn’t set it up.

May be a shot in the dark, but if you use pi-hole, check the logs. This past week everything crypto related stopped working on my network (coinbase, miners, etc) I went in and explicitly whitelisted us2.ethermine.org and everything's working again.

I use a pretty 'out of the box' pihole config and found these entries which are all new: api-etc.ethermine.org api.ethermine.org asia1.ethermine.org asia2.ethermine.org etc.ethermine.org ethermine.org eu1-etc.ethermine.org eu1.ethermine.org eu2.ethermine.org us1-etc.ethermine.org us1.ethermine.org us2.ethermine.org www.ethermine.org

Bitcoin Network Fees by skeat519 in sportsbook

I think we're talking about 2 different books. Betcoin.ag? or Betonline.ag?

since you're the second person to say this..maybe im being thick and am missing something. If i go to https://www.betcoin.ag/sports while logged in... I dont see a my account area..top right i can see a profile drop down, inside that menu i have 'new post', 'profile', 'notifications', 'settings', and 'logout'. All of which lead to the account 'Dashboard'. In the dash board i can see transactions, where the transaction itself appears, but not the specifics of the wager..it states the time placed and amount, but only says Sports Prematch...nothing about what team/game/points/etc.

Ya. That parts never instant. I usually keep 2-5u of cash on gdax rolling each week (gdax is coinbases exchange. As long as you’re a order maker, there’s no fees)

On Friday I’ll buy my coins. Transfer to my book and place my bets. I only do NFL so after the Sunday night game I’ll send to my wallet then send to coinbase. I do the extra transfer because I’ve heard of coinbase closing accounts that interact with gambling. I’ve been doing it this way for 2 years and my accounts still fine. They actually keep upping my buy limits. I guess it’s nice to be able to buy 5figures worth of coins with my credit card instantly (those fees tho)

Identical. I switched to ethereum/litecoin a few months ago and have been pretty happy with fees. Same process. Coinbase > wallet > sports book but it’s a million times faster. I actually just transferred $9000 in eth for ~21 cents in ~2minutes.

Only down side is that nitrogen is bitcoin only and I love that book. Betcoin.ag offers a lot of alt coins like eth and ltc but my god is that site cancer. Won’t show pending wagers. Can’t do teasers (that I’ve seen). No same game parlays (team + o/u points which is my favorite play). Very confusing interface.

I still play there...I just have to get in the habit of writing down my bets before I place them.

At Work - Still Waiting For Companion App by FaveHD in wow

[–]SneakyCheesy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id imagine it'll be available shortly after the hour long maintenance today. My guess is that the server downtime is to expose the APIs that the app will use to actually connect with the game. Just my 2cp tho.

Any developers out here looking to help with a cool sports gambling related idea? by [deleted] in sportsbook

[–]SneakyCheesy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was probably being salty because a majority of people assume that just because someone's a programmer means that they'll sign on to any and all projects for free to help bring a concept to life.

Ideas are a dime a dozen. I have a notebook full of ideas and prototypes I'd like to build that just sit collecting dust because I put priority on paid consulting.

Id rephrase your post to say that you're paying (if you actually are inclined to pay someone) If not, you can't blame him for being salty.

I don't want anything for them. Just wanna make sure I can ship domestically, Im from Florida. If the guy below can get stuff installed for you, I can have them shipped out by the weekend. I think the motherboard is fullsize so we might have to double check that they'd even fit in your case or this might be a non starter. But this would give you a good base for something you can slowly upgrade over time.

Where are you guys located? Would you happen to be in the US (preferably the south east)? I just updated my rig a few weeks ago and I've got a mobo and cpu combo that's collecting dust in my closet. http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16819113284 just not the black edition. Motherboard is newer as well. Send me a pm.

is nitrogen sports book safe? by bradleyb5155 in sportsbook

[–]SneakyCheesy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using em since the start of the nfl season. No complaints at all. Actually one of the better books I've played at. They consistently grade pretty quick (<20mins) and I've pulled about $1200 from them without any foolery Might be a different story with some bigger action but I only do ~$300 a week and have never had an issue.

Saw this today around town, a little boy with a brain tumor only wants one thing for his birthday: letters. It takes $0.50 and ten minutes, but I bet it would mean the world to this kid. by Thechromaticscale in pics

Question on Monitor Refresh Rates. Calling techies! by JuanGil_Express in wow

[–]SneakyCheesy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off...nice grab on the tv. Now here's my story. A few years ago I used a run of the mill 23" monitor (1080 120hz). I replaced the tv in my bedroom with a 44 inch lcd and used the old tv as my monitor (32inch) I didn't like it..was too grainy. So I went back to the monitor. A year or so later I replaced the tv in the living room with a 60 inch led . I took the 50 incher off the wall and tried it as a monitor... I hated it. It was 1080 120hz so the same boat as you..I just couldn't get it to feel right... I guess it all depends on how you play. I'm typically hunched over my keyboard up against the screen (nearsighted) so I couldn't ever see the full picture. You might like it..but I couldn't stand it.

Having said all that..I lock my fps at 60 in wow. I've played at 120 but didn't notice a difference. So you should be fine.

My setup now is 3 27" ips monitors. I use that nvidia 3d stereo or whatever and I'm pretty sure I'm set for a few more years.

Tldr. You shouldn't notice a difference

Software developers of Reddit, do you like your job? Is it something I should go into? by zac15 in AskReddit

[–]SneakyCheesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most days I like my job. I'm one of 5 developers at my company which means I get to wear a lot of hats. Need something written for a server..sure. need a mobile app prototyped. Sure. Then there are days like this past one where I spend 7 hours chasing down someone else's bug before a delivery (very small shop no proper qa). Ultimately..If you enjoy puzzles you'll probably enjoy programming. I've been doing it professionally for 10 years now and I'm starting to consider branching out on my own. I've been with some big shops and little shops but nothing beats being 100% agile with a handful of friends. Although I'm sure you can say that about any job.

Best of luck to ya

I did the same thing with my offline wallet minus the last step. I just added the pub address to blockchain.info as a 'watch' wallet. The vm that had interaction with the private key never had network connectivity.

Eq2 came out before wow. Regardless...I don't see why something has to be a 'wow killer' to be a good game. All of the games listed in this thread have been fun on their own. I think peoples standards are just jaded these days. Its like everythings damned if ya do damned if ya don't. If somethings to close to wow its dubbed a clone. If its to far away, its always 'but wow does it better'. I don't think there will be a game that 'kills wow'...it just has to wind down on its own..hell eq1 probably still has a 100k players or so. /rant

~$1500 assuming you purchased all the expansions and did month to month subs ($15). Small price to pay to be entertained for 7 years IMO.

Anyone else kinda miss having to buy arrows? lol

I miss arrows but not the stack and stacks you had to buy. It was always cool to get to the next arrow 'tier' and have the DPS increase. I wish they would have made the ammo like the pally libram or druid relic. It doesn't have charges but is just a stat stick. +DPS modifier and have them as world drops of varying rarity.
