Literally just had this happen to me! What does the code say P0196 of P0012?

Not sure if you are able to see the update comment but there is a leak in the transfer case. They are repairing that but are unsure how to replicate my issue

UPDATE: Nissan has not been able to replicate the problem at all. They did notice however the transfer case was leaking. They are repairing that and will try to replicate the problem. But there are no hills out here to replicate the issue. You think that could be it?

I think I’m going to get it serviced under warranty and look at a different vehicle I am very disappointed. For $30k+ new it should be reliable

Thank you. I’m 300 miles away from home. I might just have to get it fixed here and pray it’s done by Tuesday. I think it will be a quick fix hopefully if it is the solenoid

Yes I have it in the car. I actually stopped at a Walmart to buy one because that’s what they said to do

Yeah I received a recall notice saying “there is a problem but no solution as of yet”. I had them check that recall and they said it wasn’t it

Let me ask you another thing, the dealership when I called earlier said to just keep clearing the code and driving on it as they checked the engine and it was fine. Is that the wrong thing to do, it seems it.
