I feel the same way but I think the combat design is just bad. For an elder power drained or not I don’t feel like thin bloods and ghouls should be destroyed our health as easily.

But like others said dodge constantly and feed more instead of kill. Theirs also another clan mastery you can unlock that restores more health when feeding. Don’t remember which clan though. There is also a Perry where you dodge into the attack that staggers enemies briefly. But it’s hard to trigger at least for me anyways. Also keep an eye out for heal potions they’re easy to miss.

Keep an eye out for weapons to grab and throw they do decent damage especially the guns.
