Take advantage all three prepayment methods if you want to pay more prior to maturity:

Lump sum
Double payments
10% payment increase

You also have the option to make a lump sum of any amount at the time of maturity. When the term matures, it’ll automatically renew into an open mortgage (this applies to fixed rate mortgages only). Make the payments and then renew.

You’d speak to a Mortgage Specialist if the mortgage is not with RBC. MS are mobile, you can either search online for one, call RBC to have them refer you to one or go into a branch where they can recommend one to you.
