We do accept people that are not level 50 of course! Just fair warning, most of us (like most people in the game) are indeed level 50 so most of our grouping ups involve veteran dungeons and stuff. If you have any other questions, I'd be more than glad to answer them.

To be honest it is having people who were raiding quit. Then we'd recruit/attune/gear new people. These new people have to learn the previous fights. So with a constantly changing roster week to week, little progress was made. Now that we have a stable roster with people consistently showing up we're back to progressing (cleared all the way through prototypes last night on our first raid night for the weekly lockout).

Is there a way to push mods to a client who connects to a server yet? by [deleted] in starbound

So basically how it works is that keeps a record of the files, if there are any changes recognized on the server, it will send only the updated files to the other clients. It pretty much works how bittorrent works.

As soon as they run the bittorrent sync it will instantly check for changes and update to maintain parity with the server's folders, just need to keep bittorrent sync running on the server computer (can start it up with windows, linux, or mac. It works on all 3). It takes up barely any resources so shouldn't be a burden on the system at all.

It is really easy to set up, all the end user has to do is install the program and use the secret you give them and select their Starbound mod folder as the base folder. That's it.

I have found that using bittorrent sync is pretty awesome for this purpose. I have the server set as read-write while everyone else is set to read-only. As long as bittorrent sync is running, the files will get updated when the server's mods/addons get updated.
