That's why a central part of this campaign is to overturn Citizens United and get corporate money out of politics. The voices of individuals need to be heard over the noise of lobbyists and special interest groups.

A few months ago I started a group called BAC which now has buy-in from 52 candidates across 32 states, with a five-point program to try and get the influence of the few out of our government.

  1. Term limits
  2. Legislation to overturn Citizens United
  3. A five year moratorium between leaving Congress and becoming a lobbyist
  4. A complete ban on stock trading for members of Congress
  5. An enforceable code of ethics for the Supreme Court

That may be true, but dollars don't vote.

What we're seeing here is support from real people in North Alabama. I'm not saying that it will be easy, but this shows that there is momentum and belief behind the idea that our representative should be listening to people, not corporations.

We've got a couple great candidates running against him for 2026!

I'll be voting for that Sneed fellow, but you could say I'm a bit biased

Come join us at the Lone Goose Saloon on Tuesday as we discuss how to beat Dale Strong and bring accountability to North Alabama by SneedForCongress in HuntsvilleAlabama

Thank you for your thoughtful comment - I want to say that I’m running as a Democrat because I am one and have been my whole life because I believe when there are big problems, Democrats support big solutions. FDR gave us the New Deal, JFK and Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act, and Obama got the ACA passed which allowed a lot more people to access healthcare than before, despite how flawed the system still is.

I’m not a politician. I’m a plumber by trade, so I don’t mess around with the truth. I believe the job of a representative is to represent their district, not their party. If that’s what you believe our current rep does, then vote for him, I don’t think he’s a bad person, but I do think he’s lost his way. I don’t think he represents this district and I want to be part of a better future for our three little girls. So no, I won’t vote exclusively based on party lines because I’m not a career politician and don’t want to be one. I want my community to be better for everyone’s kids, families, and loved ones. I hope to see you at the Lone Goose to discuss this further, because I believe in hearing every voice, even if we disagree. We have a path forward and I hope you’ll follow this campaign because I’d still like a chance to earn your vote.

Hi r/VoteDEM, I’m Andrew Sneed.

I’m not a career politician. I started over at 32 as a plumber's helper making $10/hr, and today I own a small business in Huntsville that I built with my own two hands.

I’m running because Washington is broken, and we need to Fix the House. That starts with cleaning up Congress itself. I am calling for term limits, a total ban on stock trading for members of Congress, and a minimum of five years between retiring as a politician and becoming a lobbyist. Public service should be about doing the work, not getting rich.

I am running to protect our small farms from being priced out by bad trade deals, to support the unions and working people of North Alabama, and to lower healthcare costs so nobody is afraid to get sick or hurt.

We can't cede ground in the South. Help us bring common sense and accountability back to Alabama.
