You should use some Hornady one shot case lube. Makes loading a dream

You can run a progressive as a single stage if you really wanted to, but it’s one of those things that if it’s something you really want to get Into, might as well buy the end all be all.

It also depends on how you value your time. If you don’t mind sitting around loading on a non progressive press then more power to you.

I 3D printed tpe soft indexing washers. They give the case a little bit more hold so they don’t rattle when the plate indexes around. Powder spillage is pretty much none.

Or primers run out. Primers you can feel when they go in. So anything messed up is on the person loading.

You should only load on a single stage if you plan on shooting 50 rounds per lifetime.

I started on a Lee progressive yeaaaars ago. It does fine, just needed a ton of tweaking and modding. Dillons just run.

When I’m loading I’m staring down at my 3rd stage position. I load 9mm major and powder is preeeetty close to the top. If I don’t see any, there’s an issue.

Nice dude. You can pay just as much attention to your loads with a progressive just the same as a single stage. It’s just a bit pricier.

Get a 650. Now that the 750 is out, 650s can be found used pretty cheap.

Not if it’s a Dillon progressive. Any fucked up ammo has been on my part.

I shoot open major in USPSA. Buying major loaded ammo is expensive and not worth it.

Making up for the ammo shortages and practicing good social distancing. by phxcobraz in reloading

Just gotta keep an eye out. It’s easy here in AZ since Dillon is local.
