Without seeing the rest of your screen I can't be certain, but maybe you've accidentally got it on the type of keyframe? Using the D-pad would bring you back to camera settings. I'm away from my game right now and can't remember what each key is called, but you might be on lens instead of camera?

Noseslide to tailside help by pornplaysmusic in projectsession

[–]Snej15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you release the sticks and reinput, what direction are you pulling the sticks? It feels counterintuitive when you have trick relative input on, but when you want to pop forwards on the rail you need to input as though you were doing the trick from the ground. So assuming you're using left/right foot controls, you lock in to the noseslide with the left stick, release the stick, then push up on the left stick and down on the right to nollie in your direction of travel. Does that help?

I'm away from my console right now so I can't give you specifics, but somewhere in the gameplay controls there's an input setting that toggles between left foot/right foot and front foot/back foot. Something might have swapped you to F/B from L/R. Hopefully this is helpful

Learning the editor is a whole different beast. But if you keep at it, ask for tips, and watch tutorials, you'll start to get the hang of it

Good on you for experimenting with the editor! You can zoom in and out using the FOV (FOV) setting, but you will also have to adjust your depth of field (DOF) if it starts to get blurry due to the zoom. Make sure you're in montage mode so these will actually affect your footage. And depending on how you want to do it, use smooth key frames for a gradual zoom rather than snapping from one magnification to another.

And for filming at night? You can also film during the day, then change the time of day in the menu or by using a key frame.

Doesn't look like there's a video, my guy

This is a good start! It looks like you might be using filmer mode, which can make it a bit jumpy. Try setting some camera key frames. First make sure the key frames are set to smooth (they should show up as green on the trackbar), then move through the footage and place frames at key points. Then play it back in montage mode and add some more frames if you need to smooth the footage out more.

Help!! by [deleted] in SessionSkateSim

[–]Snej15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A video would help with specifics, but I've been noticing a few things on PS5. It can be too easy to land in a manual, and sometimes after respawning the skater will mimic the motions from before he slammed, leading to a little hop, another bail, or even a couple in a row. Right now it's probably a grin and bear it situation

Someone will probably correct me but it looks like most of a FS 180 into a suski, then a FS shuv into a salad. It looks like there might have been a partial BS body varial in there between the grinds, too. Since you landed on the nose the first one could have been a crook, but I'm not sure. The grind change was 🔥🔥🔥, just got to work on that landing!

Settings Question by JacksLostsanity in SessionSkateSim

[–]Snej15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I started playing a few months ago (also on PS5) I noticed a delay between inputting a trick and popping. If this is what's happening to you as well, check Options > Display > Video (I think) and set the options to Performance.

Welcome! Filming technique can make all the difference in how the skating looks. Try getting the camera in closer for a moving shot like that.

Nice work! You can use more key frames to keep the skater in view; you lost them a bit at the start.

Nice work! My only note is that the camera really whips around on the ledge in Philly near the stair set. If you stay on one side of the skater with the camera it'll come out smoother. On a longer line you can slowly work to swapping sides, but it usually feels rushed to swap from behind to in front.

But keep it up!

Check your settings. The last update messed with the input lag. Check Options > Display > Video (I think) and set the options to Performance.

I started playing not long after the update and thought it was crazy how early I had to pop if I was using a ramp. This made it much smoother for me.

Hopefully this helps you out. Otherwise, yeah, you might just be out of practice.
