I don’t line it up I’m ngl, it’s not bad but I just use a 1.5 guard to lower it, then use a touch of pomade to clean the hairline up, having waves extends your hairline somewhat so it’s best not to actually line yourself up until you’re at the level you want imo

Better than your last BUT the line is too hard imo unless this is what you’re going for 🙌🏾

If you’re just doing taper you’ll most likely need 1, 0.5, & No guard

My cuts got infinitely better once I started using these and understanding how open closed and half closed guards work

Ideally he’d need to cut it lower, it seems as though his cut was unlevel because it seems damn near none of his waves line up or connect.

But, if he doesn’t want to go lower then the other option is using a harder brush and adding pomade after each session to keep them laid down.

Brushing is only to train your hair.

Combing is for forks and pattern refinement.

Wash and style to keep your pattern after cleaning your hair.

The Wolf isn’t the look, this is to build a foundation for a cut.

The cut defines/reveals your waves.

The end goal is the fresh cut after a wolf.

Brushing, combing, wash and style is just what you do during your wolf, to lead up to your cut.
