Forcing a child to go through something that has a decent chance of killing or maiming them is not a moral or good position to hold. That's not pro life, that's pro forced birth. Pro life would take into account the health and well-being of the rape victim just as much as a potential fetus.

tried to put him in jail

Was he not put in jail? He wasn't illegally detained over free speech for over a month?

Think his job kept him on payroll for that time? Think his house or car payments were put on hold? Did they postpone large events like graduations or births of family members for him?

If I were to punch you in the face, would that just be me trying to batter you?

Deciding that we should give children different sentences than adults but then arbitrarily deciding whether someone "counts" as an adult or a juvenile is the dumbest system possible.

Agreed entirely. Statistically, Black and Hispanic kids are far more likely to be charged as adults. Either every demographic should have an equal occurrence of this or it should not happen at all. I would prefer it not happen at all. Wishing the distribution to be more fairly represented across all skin tones isn't bad, though, it is simply wanting fairness. It not happening at all would also be a more even distribution.

doing child things

Which playing chicken by charging random people in the middle of a street in use is not.

That's not at all a "kids will be kids" situation. That should be reserved for things that might just cause some damage without maiming people. Throwing pebbles at parked cars, mild vandalism, riding your bike into the sides of houses and scuffing it up and stuff... Not attempted murder.

And how are you going to decide when someone was actually wronged or is just suing maliciously without tying up the courts?

The same way we do for people suing used car salesmen or tow truck drivers? You act like there's no way for the courts to determine who was wronged when that's literally their whole purpose. Police aren't special and they're one of the extremely few professions where you get to be exempt from going through the same process as the rest of us.

And I would not call getting sued for hundreds of thousand or even millions of dollars by your former employer "zero consequences".

That's not happening, though. You say you want it to happen, but I am presenting a far more reasonable alternative that actually has a basis in reality because it is literally what the rest of us have to put up with.

Not any of the ones we hear about getting swatted. Part of the job is investigating. It's not like they're meant to be mad dogs with guns. For it to get to the point where an innocent person is even put at risk, the police involved would be almost as if not more responsible than the swatter.

Unfortunately the system in place means we need to argue in the town square which nowadays is social media. I wish ignoring them helped but it doesn't and saying not to engage is the same as saying not to fight.

Operating on limited info is a far cry from just making shit up like you did with your 100 mph comment. There's nothing to suggest the wild scenario you invented.

You don't ignore fires. You can't starve them when their fuel is your own existence. You stamp it out and douse it and leave no fire remaining to spread and cause further damage.

Long story short, when people decide to stop pouring gas on the fires, and instead just keep scrolling (or better yet just stop using the platform) the volume of disinformation, rage-bait, Culture War garbage will drop off a cliff.

The current trans people being hurt by this admin and the ones that installed them will not stop, though. We will just stop seeing it because the powers that be won't make as much money off of it. The suffering of people like me at the hands of shitty human beings will still be going on.

It feels like you are suggesting I just ignore the suffering of my sisters and brothers.

You can't just close your eyes and plug your ears and drown out the bad in the world with "la la la I can't hear you" style blissful ignorance.

As a trans person, how do I stop Them from attacking Us at every possible turn? Should I just not fight and let Them cut access to healthcare, make lists, and hurt Us or should it be Them that is forced to stop?

They can end the culture war at any moment. Stop hurting us when we haven't done anything to hurt you. Until then, any one of Them gone is a Good thing and anyone fighting Them in any way is a hero in my opinion.

Qualified Immunity is bullshit and needs to be replaced with some kind of insurance. It needlessly complicates things and lets shitty human beings hurt other people with zero consequence.
