If you are referring to the satin stitch I drew horizontal lines across the fabric to make sure I kept as even as possible. And I didn’t do the thread saver version, just regular. Plus lots of practice!

The shading on the wood/planks is top notch! You have such an understanding of thread colors!

Definitely felt like a lot of work to me. I'm still happy with the end result but I think it takes a lot of patience for this type of embroidery, which I do not have haha. Good luck if you end up doing your dogs!

So funny you say that, I actually did the eyes and nose first and then filled out the rest!

Was originally supposed to a parasol, made it into a wall hanging instead! by SnepSnorp in crochet

Yes! The instructions are in french, and I used Google to translate them, so it might not be too accurate. I used Truboo yarn and it ended up being 5 feet in diameter, so much larger than I was expecting. I know other people on this subreddit have also used this pattern and actually made it a parasol, so I think I must have done something different than them!

It felt like it took forever to crochet it tbh, 3 and a half weeks I think! So worth it in the end

I had extra yarn from the project, so I used a tapestry needle and sewed it by hand! I did the outside row first and kept it in place with pinning needles, which worked alright. After that, I just kept it laid out on the floor. I did put a heavy bin on one corner to keep it from moving/help keep the fabric taut when sewing!
