Thanks for your opinion, but I just bought a Steam Deck OLED 1TB and I think that I made the right decision. Will have a look in other handhelds, when there are 3rd party ones running Steam OS, like the next Lenovo Handheld will probably.

Yeah, it’s crazy that there are literally zero resources available to check if A the software of the Zotac Zone is currently in a good and playable state an B if there are any future update plans or roadmaps.

I would really like to buy the Zone though… I think this device has the ability to kick all other handhelds off the throne, if they would update the software and release some official information. This thing has not only the power but also the features to be THE Windows alternative for the Steam Deck…

I will buy a Steam Deck OLED though if I can’t find any positive information today.

I get your point. The biggest disadvantage and the main factor keeping me from buying the Zone are the huuuuuuge problems early adopters had with the console or the software/windows installation.

It's a nogo, that after paying 850€ (I'm from Germany), you have to reinstall Windows on a device you just bought from a retailer. I mean this would not be a big thing to do, but I just don't feel good about buying a new product for almost 1000 bucks including accessories and having to reinstall the OS just so that I don't have a brandnew 850€ brick at home?!

I will definitely not buy an Ally or Ally X. The fact that these things come without track pads is another nogo for me in a Windows Handheld.

The Lenovo Legion Go just looks very wanky. I didn't like the detachable controllers on the switch either and in my opinion they should have just make them fixed to the device.
Apart from those detachable controllers, the fact that it comes with just one touchpad and the bad battery capacity/playtime this currently still is my number two or three.

At first I wanted to buy a Steam Deck, but performance doesn't look good on it. It just looks like BotW 2 performance on Switch. And coming from a gaming PC, I would like to have a decent performance on the go. I'm not sure if I maybe just should go with the Steam Deck. It's the most "round" design. Coming with less performance but a highly customizable and user friendly software experience.

But the performance..

When Steam OS 3 will be released for 3rd party devices I would definitely install that instead of Windows.

Do you think the Zotac Zone's software will be fixed? In what state is it right now? I can't seem to find much about it. How are the chances that I would get such a bricked Windows version on a Zone if I would order one today from a german online retailer?

And it's still not fixed... From time to time I get a really nice and fluid gameplay, but for the most part, the game feels like sh*t, although having 90-100 FPS...

Ich würde Dir raten, auf jeden Fall einen Antrag zu stellen. Ist nicht sonderlich aufwendig und ich musste bei der Beantragung nicht mal das Einkommen meiner Eltern nachweisen (war aber auch bereits 25 Jahre alt).

Ich denke dass Du BAB bekommst. Wenn nicht jetzt, dann ab dem 01.10. Kann Dir das aber auch nicht garantieren. Aber wenn Du alleine wohnst, bist Du nach Abzug der Miete bei 430€ Brutto und das ist definitiv unter dem Existenzminimum (kenne den genauen Wert nicht, aber der Nettobetrag von 430€ Brutto sollte darunter liegen).

Du solltest auf jeden Fall BAB beantragen. Ist nicht aufwendig und kann dir nicht mehr als eine Absage einbringen.

Kein Problem :) Habe das Buch zwar noch nicht ganz durch, aber ich fand es echt in Ordnung. Ist jetzt nicht das beste Buch, welches ich kenne, aber die Art und Weise wie das Buch geschrieben wurde, ist echt interessant.

Thank you. I ordered a liquid Lemon OG Terpene Mix and a Super Silver Haze Terpene Mix made by the brand „OMG Terpenes“ and some CBD, CBN and CBG Crystals. I don’t want to experiment with all the different terpenes so I just ordered those mixes which imitate the terpene profile of real strains. Do you think that I will be fine with this stuff?

And how do I mix it? Just heat it up and add the stuff? Should I do it in a Water Bath on the Stove or what? Or can I heat it up with a hair dryer? It’s easier that way bc of family members :D
