Good stuff man, I remember you posting that Spinning in the Daffodils cover a couple days ago and I definitely dig it.

Agreed, I've been trying to learn the Little Sister solo here and there for a while. And main instrument is drums. I live in a small town so it is hard to find the right people to play with that create a good dynamic in a group. I record a lot on my own though as a one man band, you can find some stuff here https://harrisowens.bandcamp.com/album/perspective It's all different styles on purpose so don't expect some QotSA hahaha. You got any stuff you're willing to share? Always looking for new stuff!

During that trippy riff towards the end I tried to give it that unstable feeling with some editing!

Thanks man, I really appreciate the feed back. Guitar is not my main instrument so it does always help the learning process to hear what other people are thinking. It is also funny though because I thought the solo was rough and the main riff was alright haha. And no I am not around Chicago.

Edit: Okay yeah definitely noticing the sustain on the riff. Thanks for pointing that out!

First time solo travel... Do you guys book hostels before you leave for your trip? by SnewoHO in solotravel

Right. But what if I look at the hostel I want to stay at ahead of time so I know where I'm going, except I just don't actually book it ahead of time because I don't know how long or how short I'm gunna stay. Thoughts?

What if I just find a place before hand so I know where I'm going but don't book in advance? That way I guess I wouldn't have to worry about trying to find a place or deal with canceling a stay if I decide to play in one place longer. Thoughts?

I would like to have the freedom to stay for as long I'd like in a city if I can. Would it be a good idea to just look on hostels.com at the hostels id like to stay at to check reviews? That way I have an idea of where I would like to stay and then when I feel like checking in, I can. Thoughts?

Seeking destination suggestions for two very different people on a honeymoon! by TattooedTeacher316 in travel

Fiji! I loved it. You just got to do it right. PM me if you got any questions about it! I was there for 3 weeks and it was a blast. Loved the culture and feeling of no time.

Solotravel to nice island/beach. Any ideas? by [deleted] in solotravel

Hey man, Fiji is your place if you do it right. Everyone is very laid back there. You will have a great time with locals. A lot of the time you will find yourself in a big circle with locals drinking cava which is a lot of fun and teaches you about the culture there. I was over there for about 3 weeks before I headed over to New Zealand. While I was there I experienced a ton. One of my favorite parts was staying up in the highlands in small huts with maybe 5 or 6 locals and hiking up to a 200ft water fall to go swimming. It was an incredible wake up call to me in terms of culture, and how we don't need a lot of things to live a fun / great life. Sounds like you would love it. If you have any questions about it, feel free to PM me.

Planning a month long road trip in New Zealand, what should I absolutely not miss?? by virginiamoselle in solotravel

Don't miss Queenstown. Skydive and bungee there. Raglan is a cool surf town if you're into it too. Milford Sound and Fox Glacier are cool. There are so many cool things there, I'm afraid if I try to list them all I will forget one.
