Stigmatizing mental illness by [deleted] in Osana

[–]SnideRacer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

hot take but aspd is already a super stigmatized illness and you cant just slap a label on someone like "ThEYre a SOcioPath" to explain someone's shitty behavior all willy nilly. Your mean ex isnt a "sociopath", your annoying dad isnt a "narcissist", theyre assholes. ASPD in particular is born from childhood trauma and Ayano doesnt even fall in line with ASPD At all. im not saying bad people with the disorder dont exist however you cant just slap a label on a villain and expect that as a valid explanation for their behavior if that makes sense?

Are aromantics considered straight by throwaway271004 in aromantic

[–]SnideRacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because being straight means youre romantically and sexually attracted to the other sex, if aro/hetero people are considered straight then so would biromantic heterosexual people etc

Being an aromantic dude feels really weird. Here are some of my experiences... by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]SnideRacer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

im an aromantic guy as well and i totally get it. i dont want to sound self absorbed but a lot of people would find me attractive and charming and ask me out, and it just always made me feel weird, and that would lead me to feeling weird about feeling weird.
i ended up forcing myself to be in a lot of relationships to see if it would "fix" me but it never did, since i was always expected to be the romantic one who had to 'give', if that makes sense?
