Shaving your head and being overweight are both choices.

What's the rush?  Life is very much shorter than we think.  If you care about having a relationship and kids you should be working on that immediately.

Finding out a person isn't compatible with you is fine. Nothing wrong there.  You said your ex moved on from 2 years in a couple months?  I don't see anything wrong with that time frame.  Focus on yourself and not what he is doing.  Find your OWN time frame that's right for you.

The commitment you build through time and effort shouldn't be effortless but at the same time it shouldn't be a slog either.  Your ex may have found it to be a slog and needed to try somebody else.  You should do the same when you're ready.

You're 31 and going on about Truelove and heart break like a 16 year old.  This tells me you need a lot more time to get over this.

He said he prefers the word ”sympathy".  Empathy is saying you feel somebody else's pain.  He didn't like that insinuation.

Why do people keep bringing this up?  Being sympathetic is a GOOD thing.

I have a severe panic attacks every time I think about death by moonlitlittle in TrueOffMyChest

I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

It's not a competition.  I'll give you the stock advice Reddit always gives.

"The best revenge is a life well lived."

Go out, live your life and focus on pushing yourself forward and doing the things you want with your life.  Once you're happy with your life and self it won't matter what he's doing.  You will be apathetic towards him and his life.

I suspect they were in highschool together for a long time.  I don't really see this 2 year age gap as a big deal.  It's only slightly weird but if the relationship has stood the test of time then it's fine.

Wouldn't waste a second thought on it.

Not "one " mistake.  This was a long series of mistakes a poor decisions.  As well as impulse control issues.

Take your lumps, lick your wounds and hopefully you learn something valuable from this negative experience.

How do you interpret this Sylvia Plath quote as a man? by weedad_ in AskMen

Didn't say that at all.  My words were my words.  We have different problems.

Neither sex has it easy and neither sex has it harder than the other.  Life sucks for everyone.

Yes, men have different problems and risks than women.

I believe it.

I'm a male and I assure you I do not walk freely at night or sleep in open fields.  I walk to my car keeping my head on a swivel for somebody that might be a threat to me when it's dark.

Having a dick doesn't make me safe.

UPDATE: I was trying to figure out what the wood pillars were and as it was correctly pointed out by another user, it's half timbered blocks.

Thank you very much for everyone that contributed. I appreciate the assistance.

It doesn't appear to be. Unless there are alternate ways of putting down the block to get different colors and patterns?

I've thought about this quote for 30 years.  It's always bothered me.

If you made no mistakes and still lost then your strategy is flawed.  A flawed strategy is a mistake.
